She stood outside a Church one Morn,
deciding if she should go in;
Would they judge her for the clothes she wore,
or see through her lifetime of sin?
~
The people hurriedly passed her by,
without a glance or a smile;
So she lit another cigarette,
and decided to wait for awhile.
~
They were all wearing fancy clothing,
she knew she could not compare;
With the ragged dress she was wearing,
nor the wilted rose in her hair.
~
Another person passed by her,
should she enter or simply go home;
But her spirit was yearning for love,
a love she had never known.
~
She decided to go in anyway,
no matter how ***** she felt;
Their lofty glances encompassed her,
as her tender heart started to melt.
~
Where was the love she'd expected,
the love she thought she'd find there;
She sat alone in a Pew,
as the Congregation just stared.
~
Then she saw a Cross o'er the Pulpit,
oh how her Spirit was touched;
For Jesus was hanging upon it,
then she knew His love was enough.
~
She quickly rushed to the Altar,
not caring what everyone thought;
She slowly bowed her head to pray,
and she found the forgiveness she sought.
~
The Pastor knelt down beside her,
he seemed to know what to say;
"My child, if you have repented,
all your sins have been washed away.
~
She left that building soon after,
as a peace came over her Soul;
She didn't stay for the message,
for God gave her one of His own.

Christmas would come in the morning,
and Santa was on his way;
Yet there was no tree for a nine year old,
to cheerfully decorate.
~
Dressed warmly in tattered, old rags,
into her backyard she strayed;
Determined to find a Christmas Tree,
to bring home and proudly display.
~
Upon her bended knees she searched,
until she finally found;
A tree that looked as lonely as her,
so she pulled it from the ground.
~
She placed it in her living room,
used twine to hold it in place;
Then she found the few decorations,
that she had managed to save.
~
When the last ornament was hung,
she plugged in a strand of lights;
And how that lonely tree she found,
became a most beautiful sight.
~
"Now Santa will have a place,
to put our Christmas gifts;"
She smiled as she thought to herself,
"I hope all our presents will fit."
~
She took her mother by the hand,
to show her what she had done;
Her mother smiled, as she said,
"This is truly beautiful, hon."
~
"I'm glad you like it mommy,
now we're ready when Santa arrives;
I wanted to put a Christmas Tree up,
and I knew you would be surprised."
~
"Now listen to me Sweetpea,
you know how poor we are;
I have no money to buy you gifts,
though I love you with all my heart.
~
The child looked at her mother,
and saw the tears in her eyes;
"We will still get lots of presents,
'cause Santa Clause never lies."
~
When Christmas morning arrived,
the child sprung from her bed;
She woke her mother up and said,
"Let's see what Santa Clause left!"
~
Beneath their beautiful, Christmas Tree,
there were presents piled everywhere;
Her mother stared in disbelief,
at the gifts stacked here and there.
~
Then they both heard the sound of a knock,
upon their living room door;
On the porch were sacks of food,
how could anyone ask for much more?
~
They sat down later that evening,
and enjoyed their huge, Christmas meal;
They both gave thanks to the Lord,
and could feel that Christmas was real!

Have I told you that I love you,
and you mean the world to me;
Have I told you that I trust you,
and in you I do believe?
~
Have I told you that I'll stand,
forever by your side;
Have I told you that I need you,
and you fill my heart with pride?
~
Have I told you that I cherish you,
in everything you do;
Have I told you that I want you,
no other man will do?
~
Have I told you that I see,
love within your eyes;
Have I told you that our future,
consist of you and I?

Let me introduce myself,
I'm known by all as "Greed;"
I want what others have,
not things that I may need.
~
My name is very popular,
"Rumors" it would be;
I ooze about your town,
bringing lies and false beliefs.
~
"Deceipt" is what they call me,
some use me everyday;
To cause chaos and havic,
as I go my merry way.
~
I think that I am worse,
I'm the "Failures" from your past;
I bring back painful memories,
my devastation's vast.

The Devil and his Demons,
were having a party one night;
They were smoking cheap cigars,
and drinking lots of wine.
~
In festive celebration,
of the death of Jesus Christ;
Satan leaned his head back,
laughing with delight.
~
He said to all his Demons,
"We will ne'er worry again;
He'll no longer buffet us,
or remind us of our sins.
~
Evil we'll continue,
he can't stand in our way;
He is gone forever,
oh what a blessed day.
~
Yet little did they know,
that Christ would soon return;
In all His splendid glory,
for the entire world.
~
Satan trembled at this truth,
he thought he'd won for sure;
The party was then over,
a lesson was then learned.
~
Do not mess with God,
you'll never, ever win;
For He is truly powerful,
forgiving men their sins.

A precious baby,
a wee newborn;
Sing praises to,
the Lord of Lords.
~
His name is Jesus,
the reason He came;
Was to save Mankind,
from their sins and shame.
~
From Heaven above,
He came to Earth;
No other Babe,
held so much worth.
~
Wrapped in swaddling clothes,
in a Manger He lay;
His life would be,
the price He'd pay.
~
As this child grew,
into a man;
He taught and preached,
of God's, great plan.
~
Some followed Him,
some turned away;
Yet He loved us all,
anyway.
~
He offered Salvation,
to all who received;
By dying upon,
a Dogwood Tree.
~
He shed His Blood,
upon the Cross;
T'was an act that came,
at a very, high cost.
~
Praise you, my Jesus,
the great King of Kings;
You truly are what,
Christmastime means!

When my Father calls me home,
what a wonderous day t'will be;
Fellowshiping with the Saints,
and sitting on God's knee.
~
I'll talk with those of old,
Abraham, Isaac, and Job;
And I can visit God,
upon His mighty Throne.
~
I'll be seated for a Feast,
where the other Saints will dine;
We'll sit and eat together,
they'll be no sense of time.
~
Peace will overcome me,
I'll praise my God each day;
I'll soar just like an Eagle,
and land where e'er I may.
~
I know Jesus will hold me,
I'm the Apple of His eye;
What a glorious day t'will be,
when I meet Him in the sky.
