I love you as long as the day
And as the night is deep,
I love you when I first awake
And when last I fall asleep.

You’re as pure as a snowfall,
As invigorating as a sharp frost,
My heart and soul to you have
Been voluntarily lost.

You are as fair as a moonbeam
And as bright as the sunshine,
I’ll never take your love for granted,
For I feel blessed that you are mine ...

A child’s daydreams;
They come, then, go,
They crystalize,
Then melt, like snow.

The young child plays;
She knows no troubles,
Her daydreams drift,
Like clouds of bubbles.

Her life, so simple now,
No stress, no strife,
May this remain so,
The whole of her life.
Israel, go ahead, time to go.
Shema.
There are no words
And there are not worlds...

Israel, sing a song,
Adonai must be blessed,
Time is coming.

Israel, there is a lot of pain,
My teeth are shaking
Like a bomb in Hiroshima,
Like an aborted foetus...

This world is aborted too
And there is no other place,
I see the holy city on fire,
In blasphemy, bitterly...

Time for exile?

Justice, justice
You lay sweetly upon our souls
this morning
after the turmoil.
I wish you were not so rare a visitor.
My reflection on a peaceful morning after the verdict in the Chauvin trial.
I don’t want to be your scapegoat
Your reason to quit or fail
Don’t sabotage your future
Or stop from setting sail
Go off on adventures
Travel; see the world
Don’t hold life close to the vest
Rather, let it all unfurl
If I'm drowning in denial,
Lord please help me, I can't swim.
If I fall asleep, letting all go dark,
please don't let my dreams go dim.

Let my height of awareness,
be high enough, far above.
Till I'm breathless,
maybe not, perhaps sort of.
The top always seems so far,
if so, let my successes be endless.

On my knees,
hanging my head.
Eyes shut to be blind,
I ask of all this, in your mighty name,

Amen.

i spend my days
pouring myself into the cups of others

only to find that
when it’s time for myself
to take a sip

all that’s left
in my cup
is the remainder of a girl
who gave too much
self care is extremely important. most days I fight my depression by putting smiles onto others faces, but forgetting about my once bright smile.

I hear the wind
whipping through the freshly-leafed elm
its long sonorous undulating chord
is as light as sunbeams
as alive as the spring saps
rushing wildly up the redbud and pear
eager to burst out of their limbs
into green glory.

A bank of fog
lays snugly upon the river
like a soft white halo
kissing the morning hello.
Fog is one of the Creator’s gentle gifts to poets. It never fails to inspire me.
