I thought I was doing great without you
Actually...
I really am
I haven't been happier since the day you left me
Months, weeks, days, minutes, seconds past
It gets easier
Then out of no where
I have one of those days
Those days where I break down
I let myself feel for a bit
Heal for a bit
Then I wipe my tears
Pick my *** back up
And continue to slay this world without you

if
if a poet falls in love with you,
you can never truly die.
your lips would be spilled out,
along with perfect puckered lies.
there's always something to love,
even as you sleep in a bed deep underground.
everyone will know what you were made of,
even if you're nowhere to be found.
you are the living breathing poem that all poets need to thrive,
so if a poet happens to fall for you,
you can never truly die.
mortal bodies, timeless souls

I am not a lonely soul
That roams free with an unkempt spirit.
I am one that stands perfectly still,
Letting everything rush by me,
Then lament their departure,
and mourn for all that I have lost.

I do not strive
Nor wonder why
At what point in life
I'll be remembered by

Just in my quest
Of daily steps
I do my best
God does the rest

Your
heart and mind,
write it, scribble it,
and
sew it to your soul.

sometimes you have to throw a balm of truth into chaos
even though to some it will seem like you threw an angry wasp nest
