 Jun 2016 Tryst
Allen Robinson
Reminiscent of a
childhood illness
I relate you to well
I've fallen again and
don't want to get up
My friends and family
impart to me of my
pending SYMPTOMS
I've found the love of
a good woman and
it shows all over me
I talk a little bit softer
I show a bit more compassion
I love a heap more strongly
Yes, I've fallen in love
and there is no cure
no medication to stop it
My SYPMTOMS
are everlasting
and welcome.

My impossible dream is to
live in the historical times,
of floating castles,
and flying white pegasus.

To fly above the skies,
and see the city full of,
blooming irises.

To eat bread, cheese & soup,
after a long day's work.
Yeah, a girl dressed as a boy.

To ride a boat,
promising a future,
with my dearly beloved.

To run across the city market,
against a group of armored soldiers,
with their spears held up high.

To save a noble's carriage,
from a midnight's ambush.
To jump above a moving vehicle,
saving young girls enslave.

To hear sonnets,
and watch cultural plays,
of a tyrannic king,
and the hero of the masses.
Where revolution ignite,
without a sword,
without a single enemies' blood.
Just a hero, bringing peace,
to our dear land.

I shall weep for the demise
of my fellow comrades,
and the tragic fates,
of all pure hearts.

In the end,
I will plant a seed,
that can withstand any weather.
Then I shall look up in the sky, saying:

*"I HOPE MY PRAYERS SHALL PASS THROUGH TIME."
Romeo x Juliet anime inspired.
"I wanna set the wind blowing."

You majestic
wooden-paddled-wheeled
steamer
splashing down
the waterway
with a distinct sound
that is native to you alone
Timeless you are
with decades of
stories to spin
Smoke bellowing
from your stacks
we break bread
beneath your roof top
Float on to an era
of days gone by
Float on you majestic
RIVER BOAT.

they say love is complicated.
no,
people do make love more complicated

Those heavy crushing
Waves of doubt
That's so often
Come about
Zeroing in
With triangulating precision
Seeking any weak spot
Any crack
In the egos fragile shell
Seeping in
To get under your skin
In so subtle a way it's hard to tell
That you've been inundated
To the point of allowing
Your self to be  deflated
Sometimes so dramatic
That like a balloon let loose
To fly madly around the room
Regardless of the ricocheting
Life delaying
Overpaying
For something
you never needed to begin with
So as much as I hate
The seemingly endless situation
I try to chalk it up as the cost
Of my pursuit
Of higher education
My personal higher education
Sunlight hair
The smartest mouth
His touch a dare
You crave it, no doubt

All of his skills
No one can match
Attention kills
But his you catch

Outside a snake
But you see through
He makes the mistake
Of wanting you

In bed, a cat
Skittish but bold
He leaves claw marks
All over your soul

Holds you in his kiss
Oh, how you want to be his
What is it that you'll miss
*A kingdom, or this?
