Tree Nov 2014
Unrequited love is the enemy.

I can't battle him alone.

Will you be my hero?
Tree Oct 2014
You were everything I needed at just the right time.
I was everything you wanted, at-- not the right time.
You told me there would be a time for us.
I asked you to mark it on my watch
but you said you couldn't do that.
You said you'd know, and that I didn't have to wait for you.
You said you'd be mine when the time's right,
when we're both okay and free of sadness.

Years later I'm sitting here staring at the blank pages of my notebook,
fiddling with the cap on my pen.
I stare into the forrest of blue lines on my paper,
trying to think of beautiful words to dedicate to this page.
Beautiful words.
Beautiful.
All that comes to mind is your name.
And I look at my watch.
I think it's broken.

*The truth is, you are the only one
who can break the chains this sadness has handcuffed to me.
If that's so,
I guess I won't ever be happy,
and I guess our time will never come.
Tree Oct 2014
The words you say to me bring me back to the happiest dreams I've had of you, and it's then that I realize they've come true.
This weekend, 10/3-10/5, inspired this.
Tree Sep 2014
Memories of you flow through my veins,
as long as my heart keeps beating, I will not forget you.
I don't know what I'm doing. These are short but I just want to document them.
Tree Sep 2014
You can't give CPR to someone who's choking on the words they never told you.
one liner.
Tree Sep 2014
There's a storm brewing inside my chest whenever you're around.
Waves collapse onto the walls of my stomach when you touch me.
I know you can hear the thunder when you hug me,
I know you can taste the fresh rain on my lips when you kiss me.

I want you to feel my lightning.
Tree Apr 2014
If you were water
I would mix salts, antibodies, and lysosomes into you
and put you into my tear ducts
so that whenever I cry,
you'll know it's always thanks to you.
