A burst of color,
it is the flower of fire
painted in such gold
that scatters across the seas
leaving memories of sparks.

Last night, I adventured up onto a mountain
Shady trees and familiar acquaintances who I like
Nobodies who enjoy crawling into cracks and crevices
Because the streets are unstimulating

We reach the edge of the world
Look down, must of been 2,000 feet
Kings and Queens
We owned the city, because we had their lights in our hands

That was a night I will relive
Over, and over, and over, and over
I feel alive, I feel aware when I am with you all
It doesn't matter if we had a past or not

You matter
And you made an impact
And you have an affect on my memories
And you made my night memorable

We rule
Because we think we rule
And that is all that matters
All that matters is what you think of yourself

Use of heat
engulfs your ends
Into a splintered crisp.
Every inch you sear
Irons out the curls in your mane.

Flick the lighter,
Spark up some magic
And bring that
Shy, crying ember
To your dry lips.
The harder you inhale,
The faster you burn.

Smoke sneaks around
Your body and
Encapsulates you in
A hazy plume.
The scorch marks on your arm
Emphasizes your need
For warmth.

You seem to think you’re
A phoenix by how often
You play with flames,
But how high will you rise?

Will the ashes you’ve left
behind provide you with
a rebirth
or purge you into
the hearth forever?

How long will your eyes
Stay ignited,
Because every time you
Play with snowflakes,
You become a dimly lit,
Sputtering flicker.
Elements are a reoccurring theme in my life, according to my poetry as of late.
We were,
A treat to the eyes
A myth to their lies
The silver lining of innocence
In the end of a viscious tie

We were as painfully beautiful
As the sparks that fly out of two frictional objects
Wearing and tearing the edges apart
And yet, the little fireworks show attract audience

People really do love to observe destruction
First slowly yet steadily and then,
          All at once
It's not just roses that look beautiful and yet cause pain with their thorns are touched
Everytime we touched,
I felt a spark.
Eventually it grew to a flame
That destroyed me slowly.
Sparks ignite into flames, good or bad.

lights my fire
every log placed just
right
stoked with attention
to detail
those wild  flames
  in your eyes
speak volumes
loves and lives
lost and found
a kind face
eventually embraced
by the golden red glow
of burning embers
and sticky sweet
 melted marshmallow

This was written the other  day  , and it is about my  fiance . His time in the boy scouts   makes  his  fire building skills  excellent. I have  a picture of him over a fire  with the flames   making this awesome  shot  from a trip to  several years ago  we took, and subsequent pictures of other fires  he has made  that brought about this  poem.

You know you've got me, sitting on the edge of my seat. And I hope you know, there's no place I'd rather be. We can just sit here, or look into my eyes and you'll see

Little did you realize, you told me how to get past your eyes. So I'll say a prayer, now I don't have to lie, about how I feel. Taking steps in my mind, trying to think of how to find, a way to tell you.

I watch as sparks collide, in mind to your heart. I tried to fight, but I've known from the start. That this would happen. To you and I. But I'm terrified that this will be our final goodbye. So instead of goodbye, say goodnight. So instead of goodbye, say good night

I close my eyes, I won't say goodbye, until I know just how you feel. I will abide, just from the look of your eyes. How do you feel?

Can you feel it now? (Something I've never felt) Can you feel it now? (Your eyes make me melt) Can you feel it now? (Should we take the chance?) can you feel it now (save me one last dance).

As we lie
  White lights
In wide eyes

The sky
   Is on fire
And we
  Are a flame
Fueled
By desire

The sparks fly
  On the fourth of July
It's you and I
  Up high
Erupting simultaneously
With the bright night sky

I saw sparks
When you entered my life that hot August day
They flamed up with the fireworks
That shot from my heart with its every beat

You saw thick thighs
And in some cases that’s not bad
Every woman needs curves, right?
I had too many

My personality shrunk with my body
I was no longer alive
Just a shrinking mass
Heavy weight trying to float on water

I saw a fire
When I looked at myself in the mirror
My body the smoke
But there was no flame, unless you stuck your arm in

You saw my shrinking flame
And blew on it
Because oxygen fuels fire
But we exhale carbon dioxide
Now there is nothing left to shrink
Maybe it’s for the better
