what happened
no longer matters
no
I am not finished

It’s Election Time again
and I could care less
about the candidates,
or the “race”.
There are other problems
we haven’t yet dealt with.
What about the hungry,
or those without blankets,
constantly staying iced to
warm up their blood, as well as
their hearts.
With America’s swap of
caring about people
to their inward shift of self-indulgence,
and greediness.
Politicians screaming lies.
False hopes
for the “free” America.
Put in office
changing minds and morals,
“Retracting statements”,
taking back their word,
wordlessly.
Feeding the hungry public
with individual grains of rice.
Letting us have just enough to hold on,
our freedom has gone involuntarily astray,
and we are the sheep lead to the slaughter.
Blinded by our own gluttony!
For a tiny piece of rice?
But no longer.
Remember,
the government should fear us,
'by the people, for the people'.
It’s time to erase the brain washing.
It’s time to stand up in the Land of the Free.
Unless you already think
America really is ‘the land of the free’ indeed.
Until then, we’ll see
exactly how far we can fall.
This time
it could be endless.

For so long I've been in chains
Unable to break free
Drowning in the rain
Of the sorrow and the pain
Wishing to be set loose
But tied to these reigns
Fitted for the noose
When they think this is a game
Life plays a role
In all of our hearts
To weak to let go
I'm fading in the dark
Losing sight of this
I'm falling in a hole
Can't see infront of me
To afraid to go back home
Can't look back, and I won't turn around
Gotta keep going, gotta stand my ground
Don't let them see the tears you shed
Looking away just turn your head
To afraid to face the dark
But it's everywhere you can't avoid
The emotions you feel turn to marks
Everyone seems like a mindless droid
Feeling alone unable to stand
Put your fist up so you can defend
Giving your all just for tonight
Making one more chance to
Fight for your life

Reading  from it's book of absurdity, for you and me is a daily routine,
do I  get conditioned to meekly accept life's brutal reality you ask me
Even on a bed of burning coal, I've seen dancers amaze with alacrity,
I fight back those slings and arrows with the sheer verve of my poetry.
From  lonely walks, through inner paths every time I return smiling
my golden retriever faithfully follows with the day's happy find.
What poetry means to each one of us..it's defense of imaginativeness against  the corruption reality has undergone..

When you try to uproot
And displace precious lives
Remember,
Roots grow much deeper
For the soil nurtures for ages
Not to let go
Roots spread their arms
Holding tightly to the loving *****
Growing resilience
And the trunk of will
Leaves of glory, and
Fruits of love
You may well uproot
Feeling triumphant
But you cannot displace the roots
From then shall spring new foliage
For roots are holding hands
To create a cradle
Where love is tended
And thus, born are the bravest
You may keep trying
But you won’t go deeper than the roots
