I look into those eyes that I use to stare into for hours...
Now I can’t even stand looking in them.
I listen to your voice that I use to melt to...
Now when I hear it, all I hear is lies.
I see that big smile you smiled when we video chatted...
Now when I see it, my mind floods with memories we had...
I actually fell for you.
When others tried to warn me about you. I never believed them. I would make stupid excuses like;
“He is gonna change, he promised” “he loves me” “he is different”
But I guess those are other broken promises.
I kind of ****** because I was head over heels for you.
But I bet it ****** more for you. Because you lost someone who was actually in love with you.

Too good to be true

How can you go from telling me you love me to not responding to any of my calls?
How can you tell me you need me then say you're going to a party and there's no guarantee you won't **** someone else?
How can you say all the things you do and still get mad at me for getting hurt?
Do you even want me?
Am I just a convenience?
I knew it was too good to be true...

i fell in love with
the way you put your
pen to paper
so smooth, carelessly
and still so thoughtful

i fell in love with
the way you
looked at me when
you were around
your friends
it’s like im the only person there

i fell in love
when you ran to hug me
when the shooting was mid chaos
i was so afraid
but your arms were
radiating comfort

i fell out of love
when you brought
your girlfriend to the dorm
for the weekend
and she got all of
my attention

i fell out of love
because there was
never any love to give

for my freshman year love.

Why did you hurt me?
" I'm sorry I hurt you,
I won't do it again, I guarantee.
Believe me, what I say is true. "

Why did you lie to me?
" I'm sorry that I did,
this isn't how I wanted it to be.
I'm sorry for the secrets I hid. "

Why did you do it?
" I'm sorry, I didn't mean to.
Yet, I won't give up on you, I won't quit.
You know I'd never want to hurt you. "

Why do you keep lying?
" That was just one time
and I'm sorry that I lied. "
When has loving ever been a crime?

Why? tell me why?
I don't know why I still even try
to love you when you lie
I guess we'll never know why.
