It's been so long since I've felt anything. I've closed myself off to the outer world of me.
My inner thoughts speaking quietly, trying to understand the freedom of speech and the right to equality.
The world full  of so much inequity, my goal to just bring together the diversity.
Blacks, whites and every other minority.

Well I suppose that I've been opening up ever so slightly.
Showing the world how I can shine brightly.
Past the land and sky, beyond the line of trees.
If you believe in thinking justly, you can feel as far as the blind can see.

I'm feeling the emotions rise within I, like a storm I am becoming calm within the eye.
Watch the truth unravel into lies.
Still I'm screaming ....

WHY?

Is this what it's like to feel?
I may not comprehend it right now, but it will be alright.
I have expressed enough of me anyhow!

Underneath we are all the same
We all consist of red blood and bones
Strip away our skin and we are all the same
My little brother
He's only 11 but he's seen more violence that he needs
He's seen his older brother pushed aginst the wall and punched to ****** pulp becuse he wasn't a real man
Hes been pushed to the ground by a teacher becuse he had the guts to kiss his boyfriend
My best friend has had to sneak past her parents at night to see her love only to be beaten becuse of the color of her skin.
My brother has covered for me saying the much to large ripped jeans and band t-s were his to hide me from my father
We are all the same but if you are not a part of sociotys standards then you see more violince then ever needed to expiriance.
I want to hold hands with my girlfrind as we walk down the street without the fear
It doesn't matter who you are. we all have the same blood weather youre black, white, asian, gay, straight, trans, funny, depressed, happy, sad, in love single. IT DOESNT MATTER because we all bleed the same blood.
I want to see everyone love each other at some point please

Dark chocolatey skin bears the flag of red
Coloured, a sin; these feelings are cultivated and bred
So they're brought to toil on white soil
Reminiscing the scent of their native land, the sweet patchouli oil.
As they trudge through barren land, lost hope and ****** soles mark their path
This coloured discrimination instigates fair feelings of wrath
A helplessly agitated mind and yet they stand still
With wistful eyes, devoid of their free will.
At night, they sing to themselves songs of a land far away
As they drift off to a restless sleep, dreaming of being back there someday
Scalding feelings of entitlement and vengeance have taken birth and clouded minds
Working on indigo and cotton fields, on merriment and mirth have been drawn white blinds.
No matter how clean the records, the message is loudly heard
"When looked upon as a blue jay, you can never be a mockingbird"
These words passed down through generations deny them their say
Day to night and night to day but time couldn't change the black man's dismay.
Wanted is colour in life but shunned is coloured life
This clash of colours holds no value, only adding on to people's strife
So while i stand here trying to fathom out the meaning of it all
I hope, someday, realisation will take down this coloured wall.

“Who’s the lucky guy?” someone asks
“Their name’s Bea,” I reply
“I support that,” they hesitate
“You are so brave.” they add

I never saw their lips as a political statement
Nor did I think holding hands in the front seat
while a friend is puking by the side of the road
Was some kind of revolution

How romantic is it
That our story will be etched
Not in some Neruda poetry book
But a professor’s first textbook
Or a college student’s 2 am essay

When I said I was in love
You thought it meant I was hungry
Not for touch or for pleasure
But for justice and freedom
I didn’t know that
When I run my fingers down her neck
It would be tied to a long Twitter thread

I never saw my love as a battleground
A metaphysical exploration of sexuality
What’s Marxist about the way their eyes
disappear when they smile?
What’s so intersectional about
Our entanglement at the back seat
Or our hands holding in front

I never thought I would be so brave
At my most fragile state
So political
In my most dumbstruck ways
So woke
When I’m asleep in her embrace
What it feels like to be in a queer relationship. Your whole relationship becomes a political discussion. And while I love a discussion, sometimes I just want to love.
Perfect calculation has the inevitable human result of an enigma.

To gaze beyond the factors of sigma,
allowing creative wildfires to birth,
joining the thoughts outside the stigma.

The beauty of us makes the world we live in.

The terror of emotions is what brings us to life,
not a single identical twin or sin,
the mind allowing true living to begin.

Life your life unafraid and open.

Write your golden woven tale and be outspoken,
with self-belief leading the unspoken towards the unbroken.

You are the city of hopes and dreams
The home of the brave
And the land of the free
But why it's look like racism is all over your place?

Nobody wants any of this
Is it because of the color, they deserve injustice?
Is being different enough to be a reason
To have a death penalty and be beaten?

Someone needs to understand
Life is too short so give a hand
Don't put them down and let them stand
We are all just human under one God

Stop the HATE we need LOVE
Give the freedom in every dove
Let respect be in your heart
We need to be united not apart.

A line to define us is what you imagine,
When you hear the words,
Autism Spectrum Disorder,
It generally happens.

You place us in order,
Based on our physical representation,
And here come the words that I must slaughter,
Before you draw this misrepresentation.

We are not,
The terms ‘high functioning’,
Or ‘low functioning’,
In fact this is actually quite impolite.
To give a more representable label,
Please use the terms,
Severe Autism,
Moderate,
Or mild.

Every autistic person,
Has a different set of strengths and needs,
So do not presume the ‘functioning’ term,
As it tends to arrange and mistreat,
Every autistic person,
Who experiences challenges,
In different versions.

With these terms,
We have created the gap between neurotypicals and the autistic on our own.
When after all,
A better understanding is all we need to be realistic,
Because we all share the same bones.

So, no two people you meet with autism,
Are categorically the same.
We are a spectrum of many beautiful colours,
And we are all here to play the same game.
There are multiple areas where we can succeed,
And just like you,
Others, where we are not so great.
