under the cloudy mesmerizing skies,
reflecting vast ocean,
far away from it,
on a mountain cliff,
somehow a sea conch found itself.

At some point in time,
it was one within the ocean,
but it no longer matters how they surrounded one another,
the rush, the caress, the spill
the push aside from the brine on the shore;
kids walking along there found it and started playing with it;
one threw it so far and hard that,
the pitiful conch ended up on the mountain cliffside
and now it sits far away but look!
cruelty of fate,
now it cannot turn itself away but watch and reminisce;
as long as it exists.

the sea conch recalled --- when dawn breakthrough;
it was a sight to behold, light as small as dust spectacle;
turning into fiery engulfing then all-consuming but
becoming serene ---- oh so so blue!
reflecting it remembered--- when dusk arrived, tiptoeing
mischievously sometimes purple, orange, green,
a mix of those all and colors it could hardly gauge.

The midnight scene was a secret,
it chose to keep it to itself, never to be revealed.

the push of the waves and the pull of it
under shimmering skies;
the sea conch along with cliff grew old
and a very long time had passed
only for it to realize
that sea conch had been in love with the ocean for a very long time.
Lost in my Head Sep 2020
Putting the shell up to my ear brings sounds of the ocean
Oceans near
Oceans far
Perhaps somewhere between
The oceans of your eyes still linger
Dripping from the shell
The empty exoskeleton
Remove the shell from my face
Place it back on it's pedestal
Remaining till the sea shines through my mind
Once again
It’s been a while dude

Come closer honey,
Listen to my heartbeats
yearning for you,
Like the sound of the ocean in a conch shell.
Come closer sweetheart,
Read our love story,
Etched in lines and shading,
Along the seashore of my body skin.
Come closer baby,
Feel how my breaths gasp and fall,
As ocean waves,
I, a windsurfer trying my best to hold on.
As much as you have made me burn in the raging fire of  my love for you,
I wish you to roast with me in the inferno.
If it had been a stranger I would have desired the same,
But, you are my love,
How can I?
I have something to say
Like the shell
That finds its destiny
As a conch
From the depths of the sea
The fisherman
Collects it
It reaches the coast
Lifeless but
Thankful to him
To put its mortal
Remains to
Sacred use
It is polished
Processed
Put through acid and
Hot oil
It gains some
Precious value
Now it reaches
The hands
Of the skillful
Carver
Who decorates
It with
Strands of valued
Sacred imagination
Such are its designs
Now
A dealer is his
Next destination
He sees it
And purchases
And puts it
In a place of pride
In his shop
On display!
Now if
Some desirous
Eyes fall
On it
Its sure to be
Taken to
A shrine
Temple or home
And find
The joyous blowing
In the air which
Rushing, passes
Vibrating
With the
Joyous energy
Of its devoted blower!
It is considered
To purify the
Surroundings!
Its so valuable!
So the conch
Feels thankful
To each one
Who helped it
To reach here
In its
Journey!
So do I
Say
A thank you
To all those
Whom I
Do forget to say!
Inspired by someone!Dwell in imagination?Paint it here and please find a title for this creation in its journey!
