I closed my eyelids.

a unique space-time I've
created. A new world with I
               and you,
and in it we're us;
pseudo pagans
               adjust
in my multiverse of could-have-been's
wannabe's and forget-me-not's,
there's a million wormholes back thru

it's a glittering new world
where we're happy forever
               (embalmed)
present-perfect continuity
we'll never need to question or worry
               of it
because it'll be ours to [edit]
a spiritual instagram. sorry for the link.

I'm a believer.
our story is brick-bound & pyramidal
it's worthy of true realness
I'll never let that faith fade.

and all I have to do is stay asleep
seal myself, artery by nerve, in this bed.
eyes closed but moving underneath
               (forever)
and here I'll lay; 1,000 years on
entirely petrified. a fossil of trust.
everything/everyone I had known - gone
               forever.
fleshy eyes, solid as stone now. Blissfully
(always) unaware of their end. No matter the time,
my (      ) still eternally & happily
               in dream.
The shadows have their seasons, too.
The feathery web the budding maples
cast down upon the sullen lawn

bears but a faint relation to
high summer's umbrageous weight
and tunnellike continuum-

black leached from green, deep pools
wherein a globe of gnats revolves
as airy as an astrolabe.

The thinning shade of autumn is
an inherited Oriental,
red worn to pink, nap worn to thread.

Shadows on snow look blue. The skier,
exultant at the summit, sees his poles
elongate toward the valley: thus

each blade of grass projects another
opposite the sun, and in marshes
the mesh is infinite,

as the winged eclipse an eagle in flight
drags across the desert floor
is infinitesimal.

And shadows on water!-
the beech bough bent to the speckled lake
where silt motes flicker gold,

or the steel dock underslung
with a submarine that trembles,
its ladder stiffened by air.

And loveliest, because least looked-for,
gray on gray, the stripes
the pearl-white winter sun

hung low beneath the leafless wood
draws out from trunk to trunk across the road
like a stairway that does not rise.
he wishes he could collect girls
like butterflies
pin them to the wall,
show them off,
trophies.
but I am the only one
who ever flew into the net
The sermon at church this morning was called "I am Jesus, the Good Shepherd" and it got me thinking. In this world of 7 billion people and drugs and alcohol and guns, how am I supposed to find God?
That was a rhetorical question, by the way.
Because I think I've already found him.
With God, you're supposed to feel safe. And pure. And loved. You're supposed to find true happiness and not go astray. You're supposed to be a good little sheep and stay with the flock, where your shepherd is. Your shepherd will feed you and keep you warm and safe.
I feel safe in your arms. Even though I'm far from innocent, I feel pure. I feel loved. I'm happy with you. I haven't gone astray, I've stayed with you. You hold my hand through the valleys of darkness that I must walk through. You will feed me and keep me warm and safe on nights where I just can't sleep and the cold invades my bones and the hollow space between my ribs where my heart should be beating. You'd die for me.
That's how I know that I've found God in you. You're not perfect. You're deeply flawed and above it all, you're still just a teenage boy. But to be completely honest, I think God sent you here just for me. We're meant to love each other, among all the wars and drugs and guns and out of all the 7 billion people out there, we were meant to find each other.
I'm so glad we did.
You can find me dancing on the wind,
walking on graves,
creeping in the shadows.
You might find me tossing rocks at his window
with a pen in my hand
or between my teeth.
Sometimes you'll find me trying on dresses,
drawing finger mustaches,
laughing about nothing.
But you'll always find me in his heart.
i used to convince myself that you were a drizzle, not a hurricane. that you were not a force of nature but a gentle breeze that made my life better. i used that to tell myself that you weren't right for me. and i was wrong. you are not a drizzle, or a gentle breeze. you are a swift kick in the gut, one hell of a powerful blow to my stomach. you were always there and i knew you would be. you were always the one that cared more. always there, until one day, you weren't. you did not ruin my house and soak all of my belongings; but you ruined my insides and left me doubled over throwing up by side of the road right when i needed you most. you left because you were losing me. but i wasn't really gone until you left.
the world needs more birthdays
the world needs more "today is going to be a good day"
more going for a morning run, or whatever makes you happy
more 'come back, i wasn't done hugging you'
'you look beautiful'
more homemade chocolate chip cookies

the world needs more good

even if it seems bad;
i know it can seem like an awful place to be
but we can make it better
just be good, you and me

we can have more birthdays
and bake delicious cake
we can make life better
just stick around, and wait
kinda stupid but trying to write happier stuff
For you I want to look my best
A suit wears a M.A.N to impress
Fresh hair cut..beard nicely trimmed
Designer cuff links I'm in it to win
Ring your door bell...you open the door
Bouquet of flowers from ceiling to floor
Fulfilling fantasies make love to your mind
No words spoken could ever define
Take you out dancing you are my Queen
Conquering your desires to become your King
Hold you close caressing your skin
Make your heart flutter from my Devilish grin
Leaving memories on your body as I touch
Forget about time there is no rush
No limit..providing endless inspiration
Passion boils bodies dripping perspiration
Tangled tongues twisting tasting ecstasy
Discovering we share a destiny
My duty to my lady on good manners I stand
Rest your head on the chest of this Gentleman...

Most people think I'm crazy
My flow can't be called lazy
My soul in my words
From my heart spills nouns and verbs
My mind is quite explicit
18 or over to buy a ticket
A mamas boy I am
My mother raised me wicked
I also have a father
Was selfish didn't bother
Was thirsty for guidance
I found my own water
No one really knows me
I am the one and only
Trust my dedication
Watch me while I'm showing
Life can be gamble
Test the latest sample
Take your shot while your hot
Make your effort ample
I know not why I say this
Not in this to be famous
As a poet I grow..flexing my freestyle flow..for that I am shameless
