Fortunate enough
To have a family
That guides my decisions
And makes me voice out my opinions

Fortunate enough
To have friends
That see more than outer beauty
And kills my insecurity

Fortunate enough
To have a life
That's filled with every emotion
And motivation and inspiration

We're fakers
We're liars
Saying: We don't need each other

We're hurting
We're tired
Saying: Get your **** together

We're cruel
We're harmless
Saying: We can never fix this mess

We're so done
Being no one
Saying: We can't live without each other
To my friends currently arguing, I guess time will heal

I don't want to be fake
Two paths, I could take
I'm doing this for my sake
Which would be the better mistake?

The decision is mine to make
It's far from being a piece of cake
And a few hearts, I'm going to break
The decision will be made when I wake

When I have woken up
To the awful truth
That no matter what I do
My soul, I cannot soothe
A friend told me that:
"No one's indecisive, we just can't articulate ourselves well enough."

You broke my heart once
It was my fault though
I let you borrow it when you had broken yours
It wasn't my fault though
You gave yours to that other girl
It wasn't your fault though
I think she left, thinking you wouldn't mind
It was your fault though

I've written for you:
a number of poems
multiple songs
and countless journal entries
I've written about your quirkiness
your sorrow and how quickly it became mine
and how your words stained
the most isolated corners of my mind
I'd like you to write
about how you pushed me away
and led me astray
I'd like you to write
how you put out my light
and drowned in the darkness you brought upon yourself

A man can dream,
A man can live,
But is he a man
If his dream he cannot live?

Because one day she'll spread her wings
And she will when her heart sings
The tune that freedom brings
One day, in the greater scheme of things
