where did we go wrong
I know I can't stay here
I hope you take care
wherever that is

sometimes you makes me feel like
such a *****
that I'm convinced I'm even more sick
you laugh at slit wrists
but you can bite the tongue you bit

don't to bite the hand that feeds you
I wish you fed yourself self respect
so I could swallow and digest it

here we go again
where did we go wrong
I know I can't stay here
I hope you take care
wherever that is

you might find me somewhere
my plans for the future
includes a steady vocation

consider this a vacation
as my poetry travels through the air
I'll be making rhymes and cop
some flows

just hope you're not another
obstacle because you are the fork
in the road
when i need to make a right I make a wrong
yet continue along

where did we go wrong
I know I can't stay here
I hope you take care
wherever that is

yesterday was like today
but today I trust even less of what
these people say
I live in shame and take all blame

it doesn't matter how you choose
to play the game
the game plays you so respect yourself
and don't forget
what you're about
or where you're from

where did we go wrong
I know I can't stay here
I hope you take care
wherever that is
Oh if I were the velvet rose
Upon the red rose vine,
I’d climb to touch his window
And make his casement fine.

And if I were the little bird
That twitters on the tree,
All day I’d sing my love for him
Till he should harken me.

But since I am a maiden
I go with downcast eyes,
And he will never hear the songs
That he has turned to sighs.

And since I am a maiden
My love will never know
That I could kiss him with a mouth
More red than roses blow.
Mystery, slow and steady
As I watch the stars take form
Powerless in this shell
But at least it's kept me warm
Concealing the outside world
From me, just a scared little girl
With no thoughts of bravery
Or curiosity to wonder about the storm
As lightning strikes
Through the scars in my eyes
And imagined tears take form

Tunneling through the hole in my brain
Trying to find a spot in which you still remain
Getting lost continuously along the way
Finding old memories,
Some dreams previously lost to me
Leaving my thoughts in disarray
If only I could find you, you'd say
'Take my hand, I'll guide you home
And never lead you astray'
But that destiny is clearly lost to me
And deep inside, I start to pray
seven years.
Seven years and nothing has changed, you’re the same person just with an unnamed face.  You told me you would change, but that will never happen, because I can still smell the alcohol even when you’re miles away.
You knew what you were doing, but you never stopped. You kept destroying her every move as if you claimed her,
She was not yours to claim.
You acted as if you were the hero who saved me but instead you were the hideous monster who hypnotized my eyes. You told me that you would stay, but I can’t help but notice that I still have a flinch as if you’re still hitting my face.
“Please stop”
I can’t take it
It was never fun living in a nightmare, so when I finally got some help, you decided to follow my every move until you made me think it was my paradise in disguise.
And if you ever asked me If I forgave you all I can say is I saw the word caution when I saw you the first time, but my mistake was when  I crossed the yellow line,
I never took the procedure,
I didn’t think to follow the steps I needed to take to make a perfect family again.
I never thought for a second, that you would change me so much.
I saw the fire in your eyes as if you let it overtake your body.
Just one droplet, one more and everything will be just fine,
But it wasn’t
I saw her for the first time coward in the corner terrified,
of her own spouse.
I saw my sister with tears in her eyes, and I felt bad because I couldn’t support her, I couldn’t wrap my arms around her, I couldn’t pull her close,
I couldn’t do anything.
I felt useless.
You told me to do things that shouldn’t have been done, you told me to do this and you told me to do that and all I could do, is follow your instructions.
To think we used to be a big happy family, the kind you see on T.V and now were stuck in hell just trying to play catch up, trying to run faster than the other. Trying to beat out the rest.
It's a space oddity
for all that this came too
for the man who sold the world
should have sold it all to you

Let's dance, for we are heroes
we know there's life on Mars
you our dear modern love
now dance amongst the stars

You were a rebel, rebel starman
without you our world changes
ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Your body, your soul exchanges

We know you're still alive
but where are we now?
Maybe next a china girl?
we'll meet again somehow
She was here.
She told me how she'd always love me.
It was clear
I was the man in her life.
Why didn't she stay?

I opened up my heart to sorrow,
Not knowing there was no tomorrow.

She was gone
Before I knew.
It hit me hard,
Knocked out my lights,
Quicker than a heartbeat,
Faster than the speed of a lie.

She was here.
I knew she'd have my back always.
It was clear
I would always have her back.
Then, she went away.

She left no way for me to follow.
It happened fast - bitter pill to swallow.

She was gone
Before I knew.
It hit me hard,
Knocked out my lights,
Quicker than a heartbeat,
Faster than the speed of a lie.

It would be better,
If I could only say she had been untrue,
But at the time, I don't even think she knew,
That standing beside me was the one thing she could never do.

All at once my heart was hallow,
Echos of love, my heart is fallow.

She was gone
Before I knew.
It hit me hard,
Knocked out my lights,
Quicker than a heartbeat,
Faster than the speed of a lie.
Written between last night, and this night, 1-29-2016, this is my homage to 80's guitar rock.
If I could count the moments
That I've waited or wanted you
I would be waiting

And you leave me waiting

Sometimes,
It's as simple as wanting to hear your voice
Or a hello
It's always simple
Because I don't ask much

I keep waiting
Because I want to
Whatever you do to get to me
It works
Despite everything before
That tells me better

I wait for you
Because I understand the possibility
The possible future if you give up
The demons weighing you down

I won't wait forever
Because I've got **** to do too

But right now,
I'm waiting on you
