I had fallen down hard this time,
Found myself at the bottom of it all,
When somewhere past the void,
I heard my own future call.

It struck a chord in me,
Unexpected but I could feel,
My hidden heart made of flint,
Fate struck like it's ever present steel.

Again, again, again, and again,
Round, and round, and round,
How much I tried to lock myself up,
Life refused to let me be bound.

Wrapped up in my past,
I did my best to hide,
I was never going to be enough,
Trying to escape in the shadow of pride.

I was buried in the frozen earth,
Knowing some day Spring would come,
So I clung to my old shell,
When I felt the world start to hum.

Begin, Begin, Begin and again,
The sacred circle was never broken,
Fleeting dreams tumble away,
As the sacred words are spoken.

Though scars will be left behind,
My feet still find their place,
My tired heart beats again,
My Will returns to it's relentless pace.

My goal was finally achieved,
and my atonement was past,
The Day is finally beginning to dawn,
The empty night was not meant to last.
There is a storm within my soul
And it never seems to cease
The thoughts I can’t control
I never find my peace

Endless torrents of rain
Tidal waves of emotion
A prisoner in dark refrain
Emptiness without devotion

The darkest clouds that gather
Brings tears that will flow
It’s my only kind of weather
The thoughts nobody knows

I listen to stormy seas
Nobody can hear my voice
It brings my life to it’s knees
This life was not my choice

When your soul begins to break
And you breath a final sigh
It’s your life’s final fate
And it's time to say goodbye…..

Spare a thought for people
with depression who live in
silence and invisible to those around.
"Some say love, it is a river"
How the tears flowed that night,
How the rain fell and wiped our cheeks,
How the wind caught our hair and blew in our faces,
How we cried.

"That drowns a tender reed"
How many fell that day,
How young, how old,
How free of fear until too late,
How quickly gone.

"Some say love, it is a razor"
How deep it cut so fast,
How much pain consumed us,
How the dark spilled into the streets,
How long will it last?

"That leaves your soul to bleed"
How to move on,
How none of us knew where to look,
How to smile again, or if we should,
How empty we were.

"Some say love, it is a hunger"
How it burned, the anger,
How the passion grew strong,
How a single raging desire filled us,
How it took over.

"An endless aching need"
How we stood together,
How we all dreamed and longed for a future,
How it is no longer a wish, but a necessity,
How it sits with us.

"I say love, it is a flower"
How as one we somehow felt better,
How those candles pierced the shadows,
How we joined hands and held tight,
How we wouldn't fall.

"And you its only seed"*
How the seeds were sown,
How their lives were lost,
How it must not happen again,
How death does not end them,
How one day those seeds will bloom,
And those flowers will not be laid by candles.

the rain drowns the city's noise,
all you can hear is the storm knocking on your door.
potholes filled with muddy water,
traffic officers standing without umbrellas.
the poor stand outside and wonder
if they'll get some sleep tonight.
the rich pose for another picture
with a fake smile.
commuters cursing the rain gods and the government
for not using their taxes to fill holes with more cement.
the storm has been knocking on our doors
we've been too busy to answer it's call
but now it has let itself go
and the city has drowned before dawn.
OCD OCD
Don't you know I love thee
I'm obsessed you're obsessed
We're two stalkers stalking each other in love
can’t get enough
Youre the best drug I ever took

OCD OCD
Don't you know I'm crazy for thee
I want you everyday
You are all that I crave
I crave you like herion
No way will I be mellowin

OCD OCD
Two attached we never let go
we don't care what they know
we don't care what they think
we don't care if they think were bad together
it's beside the point we know forever

OCD OCD
I'm so compulsed I cannot see
I am so blindly in love
I'm so compelled to never let you be
And I know you think the same as me
Let us bask in our OCD

I want to say I love you
in a smooth poetic verse
But to tell you just how much
I fear would make it worse

Listing every reason
I would need a million lines
And everybody knows that none
will read that many rhymes

If I sat and wrote down all
you do that makes me smile
People would get bored with
reading this work after while

If I penned each feeling
in the stanzas of this piece
Most would hit the halfway point
and reading it would cease

I want to mention every thing
but please don’t get me wrong
No one on this site likes reading
poems that are long

So please excuse this poem
with it’s verses that are few
I only really wrote it
just to say that I love you
