AS I SIT HERE WAITING

VERSE 1:
As I sit here waiting
I wonder what’s on your mind,
As I sit here waiting
I am saddened because this friendship was so hard to find.

As I sit here waiting
I often think of you,
As I sit here waiting
I think back to all the fun times we had shared-that now make me feel blue.

As I sit here waiting
My mind keeps thinking of your name,
As I sit here waiting
Things just don’t feel the same.

As I sit here waiting
I wonder if you are well.
As I sit here waiting
I’m surprised –that I’ve been put under this kind of spell.

As I sit here waiting
I am trying my best to forget about you,
As I sit here waiting
I wonder –how many things you said –that were true?...

As I sit here waiting
I am doing everything else I can-to erase you from my mind,
As I sit here waiting
I am feeling sad to have lost you, as you were so special and so kind.

As I sit here waiting
I can’t seem to get you out of my head,
As I sit here waiting
I try to forget all the nice things you said.

VERSE 2:
As I sit here waiting
Another day passes and I still can’t forget you yet,
As I sit here waiting
Yes, I am still trying to, trying to still forget.

As I sit here waiting
I try to read-to distract my mind,
As I sit here waiting
I wonder –was I really that blind.

As I sit here waiting
I listen to music – to try to block out your name from my head,
As I sit here waiting
I am still crying for your loss-before I go to bed.

As I sit here waiting
I talk to the person next to me-to distract my thoughts from you,
As I sit here waiting
I just don’t know what to do.

As I sit here waiting
Sadly-your name still comes to me-and I can’t stop thinking of you,
As I sit here waiting
I am still feeling blue.

VERSE 3:
As I sit here waiting
I wait for this to pass one day,
As I sit here waiting
I wonder why things didn’t go my way.

As I sit here waiting
I wonder what happened –for you-not to stay?
As I sit here waiting
I wonder –if you are okay?

As I sit here waiting
I feel a little lost –that you’re no longer by my side,
As I sit here waiting
I take this moment to swallow my pride.

As I sit here waiting
I can’t believe how much impact you had on me,
As I sit here waiting
I wonder if my heart –will ever become free.

As I sit here waiting
Each day becomes a little numb-with time,
As I sit here waiting
I am starting to become and feel fine.

As I sit here waiting
I pick up the pieces and slowly start again,
As I sit here waiting
I am feeling blessed to have so many amazing family and close friends.

VERSE 4:
As I sit here waiting
I suddenly catch myself –starting to smile,
As I sit here waiting
I realize your name hasn’t popped into my head for a while.

As I sit here waiting
I realize that I am becoming stronger,
As I sit here waiting
These thoughts disappear –longer and longer.

As I sit here waiting
Life becomes a lot easier –to find my way,
As I sit here waiting
Everything –slowly doesn’t matter so much- anymore and fades.

As I sit here waiting
My heart starts to feel free,
As I sit here waiting
I start thinking of all these things I can do/see –and what I can soon be.

As I sit here waiting
A smile comes to me,
As I sit here waiting
I dream of a new version of me-that I want to see.

VERSE 5:
As I sit here waiting
I am glad that life has put me in this new kind of position,
I start to plan/map out my new mission.

As I sit here waiting
I start to feel excited –of all the new things I can do myself,
I start to re think and create my own wealth.

As I sit here waiting
I start to enjoy more of today,
I am now loving –all the new things that have/are coming my way.

As I sit here waiting
I realize I am beginning to miss you less,
I have recently realized -to just work on me –to be my very best.

As I sit here waiting
I am happy to be where I am,
I smile –because I realize now-I have become my number 1 fan.

As I sit here waiting
I am no longer waiting for you,
I wish and prey –for all my future dreams –to come true.

As I sit here waiting
I welcome what life brings to me,
I can’t wait to see what my future –will be.

As I sit here waiting
I realize –I’m just waiting-for my next Mr right –to come to me now,
I wonder –when and how?

As I sit here waiting
-Just waiting.
Everything now is just a filler
-with time,
I realize now I am
-Just fine.

waiting for you to notice
waiting for you to change
waiting for you to stop
waiting for you to go

waiting for you to wonder
waiting for you to care
waiting for you to say it
waiting for you to stand up

waiting for you to move
waiting for you to understand
waiting for you to let go
waiting for you to hold tighter

waiting for you to run away
waiting for you to finally cry
waiting for you to break down
waiting for you to smile

waiting for you to come around
waiting for you to decide
waiting for you to get out of the car
waiting for you to wrap around a tree

waiting for you to sit down
waiting for you to throw it out the window
waiting for you to lay it out on the table
waiting for you to move away

waiting for you to get another drink
waiting for you to fall to pieces
waiting for you to brush yourself off
waiting for you to be a victim of love

waiting for you to come home
waiting for you to grab my hand
waiting for you to stare me down
waiting for you to turn your back

waiting for the comfortable silence
waiting for the final blow
waiting for your pledge of devotion
waiting for your crossed fingers

I Am Waiting**

I am waiting for my case to come up
and I am waiting
for a rebirth of wonder
and I am waiting for someone
to really discover America
and wail
and I am waiting
for the discovery
of a new symbolic western frontier
and I am waiting
for the American Eagle
to really spread its wings
and straighten up and fly right
and I am waiting
for the Age of Anxiety
to drop dead
and I am waiting
for the war to be fought
which will make the world safe
for anarchy
and I am waiting
for the final withering away
of all governments
and I am perpetually awaiting
a rebirth of wonder

I am waiting for the Second Coming
and I am waiting
for a religious revival
to sweep thru the state of Arizona
and I am waiting
for the Grapes of Wrath to be stored
and I am waiting
for them to prove
that God is really American
and I am waiting
to see God on television
piped onto church altars
if only they can find
the right channel
to tune in on
and I am waiting
for the Last Supper to be served again
with a strange new appetizer
and I am perpetually awaiting
a rebirth of wonder

I am waiting for my number to be called
and I am waiting
for the Salvation Army to take over
and I am waiting
for the meek to be blessed
and inherit the earth
without taxes
and I am waiting
for forests and animals
to reclaim the earth as theirs
and I am waiting
for a way to be devised
to destroy all nationalisms
without killing anybody
and I am waiting
for linnets and planets to fall like rain
and I am waiting for lovers and weepers
to lie down together again
in a new rebirth of wonder

I am waiting for the Great Divide to be crossed
and I am anxiously waiting
for the secret of eternal life to be discovered
by an obscure general practitioner
and I am waiting
for the storms of life
to be over
and I am waiting
to set sail for happiness
and I am waiting
for a reconstructed Mayflower
to reach America
with its picture story and tv rights
sold in advance to the natives
and I am waiting
for the lost music to sound again
in the Lost Continent
in a new rebirth of wonder

I am waiting for the day
that maketh all things clear
and I am awaiting retribution
for what America did
to Tom Sawyer
and I am waiting
for Alice in Wonderland
to retransmit to me
her total dream of innocence
and I am waiting
for Childe Roland to come
to the final darkest tower
and I am waiting
for Aphrodite
to grow live arms
at a final disarmament conference
in a new rebirth of wonder

I am waiting
to get some intimations
of immortality
by recollecting my early childhood
and I am waiting
for the green mornings to come again
youth’s dumb green fields come back again
and I am waiting
for some strains of unpremeditated art
to shake my typewriter
and I am waiting to write
the great indelible poem
and I am waiting
for the last long careless rapture
and I am perpetually waiting
for the fleeing lovers on the Grecian Urn
to catch each other up at last
and embrace
and I am awaiting
perpetually and forever
a renaissance of wonder
Waiting at road side
Waiting at bus stop
Waiting for bus ride
Waiting at coffee shop.
Waiting for one sight
Waiting in blazing sun
Waiting for what’s right
Waiting with hand-on-gun.
Waiting for brotherhood
Waiting for justice
Waiting for all that’s good
Waiting for pure bliss.
Waiting for one call
Waiting for heart throb
Waiting for cute doll
Waiting for good job.
Waiting for surprise
Waiting for high tide
Waiting for right price
Waiting for joy ride.
Waiting for gold dime
Waiting for one flick
Waiting for good time
Waiting for right click.
Waiting for good luck
Waiting for letter
Waiting for golden duck
Waiting for better.
Waiting to have it all
Waiting for opportunity
Waiting for final call
Waiting for almighty.
Waiting for your life to begin

Waiting for your team to win

Waiting for the bus to arrive

Waiting for your kid to strive

Waiting for the rain to pass

Waiting for the bell after class

Waiting for the job of your dream

Waiting for things to become what they seem

Waiting for inspiration to come

Waiting to become rich and then some

Waiting for a person to change

Waiting for motion to become a range

Waiting for a bad mood to disappear

Waiting for your head to clear

Waiting for your boss to see your worth

Waiting for heaven on earth

Waiting for what is your due

Waiting for a cue

Waiting for someone to understand

Waiting for your enemies to be banned

Waiting for the world to get better

Waiting for that liberating letter

Waiting for something that will never come

Waiting for things to become undone

Waiting for wisdom to teach you

that waiting is just loosing time to get through

I've Been Waiting

So long, I've been looking too hard, I've waiting too long
Sometimes I don't know what I will find
I only know it's a matter of time
When you love someone... When you love someone...
It feels so right, so warm and true, I need to know if you feel it too
(Aaah-aaah) maybe I'm wrong
(Aaah-aaah) won't you tell me if I'm coming on too strong?
(Aaah-aaah) this heart of mine has been hurt before
(Aaah-aaah) this time I wanna be sure
I've been waiting, for a girl like you
(Ooh-ooh-ooh) to come into my life (life)
I've been waiting, for a girl like you
(Waiting for a girl) and a love that will survive

I've been waiting (I've been waiting) for someone new
(New) To make me feel alive, ah-ah
Yeah, waiting for a girl like you (waiting for a girl) to come into my life
(Aaah-aaah... Aaah-aaah...)

You're so good, when we make love it's understood
It's more than a touch or a word we say
Only in dreams could it be this way
When you love someone... Yeah, really love someone...
(Aaah-aaah) now I know it's right
(Aaah-aaah) from the moment I wake up till deep in the night
(Aaah-aaah) there's no where on earth that I'd rather be
(Aaah-aaah) than holding you, tenderly

I've been waiting, for a girl like you
(Ooh-ooh-ooh) To come into my life (life)
I've been waiting, for a girl like you
(Waiting for a girl) and a love that will survive
I've been waiting (I've been waiting) for someone new
(New) To make me feel alive, ah-ah
Yeah, waiting (waiting) for a girl like you
(Waiting for a girl) to come into my life

Oooh-oooh, oooh-oooh, I've been waiting
Aaah-aaah, (waiting for you) oooh-oooh, oooh
(Aaah-aaah) oooh-oooh, I've been waiting
(Waiting) I've been waiting, yeah
I've been waiting for a girl like you, I've been waiting
Won't you come into my life? (Life?) My life?
(It's been so long) I've been waiting for a girl like you
I've been waiting, (I've been waiting) oh-oh

Waiting

I've been waiting on top
Of Calvary Hill
Watching the whole world go by
While I'm perfectly still
And as the winds of change blow over
My soul begins to break away
But I'm holding for the moment
My suffering will end

I'm waiting
Waiting
I'm waiting
Waiting on top

I'm waiting in the darkness
Of a bottomless pit
Crying out loud to my brothers
As they walk away
And as the silver falls into their hands
My heart begins to break
But I'm holding for the moment
My suffering will end

I'm waiting
Waiting
I'm waiting
Waiting in the darkness

I'm waiting in the desert
Of a foreign land
Driven from my home
By the kingdom of man
And I can still hear their screams
I have to leave them behind me
But I'm holding for the moment
My suffering will end

I'm waiting
Waiting
I'm waiting
Waiting in the desert

I'm waiting in the valley
In the shadow of a man
Curses leave his lips
As a stone leaves my hand
I bet my life on a promise
And I'm holding for the moment
My suffering will end

I'm waiting
Waiting
I'm waiting
Waiting in the valley

I'm waiting in the furnace
The flames roaring high
Condemned to be burned
For the King I can't deny
Though the world believes I'm done
My battle has already been won
I'm not alone
And we're holding for the moment
My suffering will end

I'm waiting
Waiting
I'm waiting
Waiting in the fire

I've been waiting on top
Of Calvary Hill
Watching the whole world go by
While I'm perfectly still
And as the winds of change blow over
My soul begins to break away
But I'm holding for the moment
My suffering will end

waiting around the corner
waiting in the womb
waiting round the bend
waiting to be born

waiting to go to school

waiting for something to come in
waiting for something to go out
waiting for something I'm sure of
waiting for things which I doubt

waiting for a phone call
waiting to get off hold
waiting for it to get hot
waiting for it to get cold

waiting for something to start
waiting for something to end
waiting for a nice long straight stretch
waiting for whats round the bend

waiting for her to get ready
waiting for him to turn up
waiting for the play offs
waiting for who wins the cup

just how much of out lives are spent waiting
for things beyond out control
is it a week or a month or a year
wait there while I take a quick poll

Give me a dollar until I am dead
Paint the whole sky blue and red
Count out the days until tomorrow
I’ll be waiting
Waiting
Waiting for the rains to fall

Stop the car just to yell at the trees
Close your eyes so you can feel the breeze
Write down your history so that you aren’t forgotten
I’ll be waiting
Waiting
Waiting for the leaves to fall

Line up your books in all the wrong orders
Put on tinted lenses for the city in different colours
Call your brother’s voicemail just to hear him again
I’ll be waiting
Waiting
Waiting for the towers to fall

Burn up old certificates for the fun of it
Eat a hundred chocolates for a golden ticket
Watch every blockbuster here in town
I’ll be waiting
Waiting
Waiting for the tides to fall

Whisper your wishes across the ocean
Trace your crop circles out in the open
Three letter words are hardly important
I’ll be waiting
Waiting
Waiting for the hammer to fall

Break the hourglass to hold the grains
Run after the last train until your chest heaves
Write down your last words on wilted flowers
Search for the den where the old fox hides
Out in the sun, you couldn’t be happier

Oh if someone’s listening
If anyone cares
I’ll miss my own funeral
If it means you’ll be there

Cause I’ll be waiting
Waiting
Waiting for your ***
Waiting
Waiting
Waiting
Take your time to grow :)

Red love
Charlie Hazels Jun 2014
I'm still waiting for you to kiss me
With those crimson lips so smooth.
And I'm still waiting for us to be alone
When the pain in your bright eyes can be soothed.

I'm still waiting for you to get help
For the carmine rivers that you trace.
And I'm still waiting for a reason why
You broke the promise you put in place.

I'm still waiting for my head to stop spinning
The rose hairclip means I see you down the hall.
And I'm still waiting to tell when my stomach flips
If it's good or not at all.

I'm still waiting for my logic to return
But love gives an alazarin tint to every drama.
And I'm still waiting for a chance to talk to you
But I seem to have bad karma.

I'm still waiting for that hug you owe me
My ruby hair shoelace flopping in my eyes
And I'm still waiting to be the tall one of the pair
As I try to move on, part of me dies.

I'm still waiting for that movie date we planned
And the ketchup coloured earring you wear in the left ear
And I'm still waiting to dance and twirl you round
In my arms I could hold you near.

I'm still waiting for when you blush
Vermillion as insults are thrown across the street
And I'm still waiting for the chance to set that right
Remmembering you defending me in the stifling heat.

I'm still waiting for the time to tell you
How much you're in my thoughts
And I'm still waiting for your birthday so I can gift
The cadmium sketchbook that I bought

I'm still waiting for the coral pain to stop in my heart
It's there for you, of that I have no doubt
And I'm still waiting for the laughter to return
To my life when we sort this out

I'm still waiting for the trip to the coast
The bergundy viking boat alight
And I'm still waiting for what will never be
But then again, it might.

— The End —
