Poem. 5 million am not just a number
Corvus  Wonderfully compassionate. It's so easy to be kind and sympathetic to those on your doorstep. Those further away but in even greater need are often ignored. Brilliant write.
The most important part of posting a poem is the response you get, I'd love to appreciate every single one of  you for the words you offered. For those who didn't make the list, I still appreciate you.

This poem is coming from an emotional place, for the longest time I never believed in myself. But now I do, thanks a lot

morning breath
irinia Mar 2023
this morning when I opened my eyes
the light was breathing the window had a pulse
as if I was a body with unmystified senses
as if I could see deeper in everything that surrounds me
perhaps a remembrance of how
difficult it was for me to be in the world
with an immense sensitivity to the slightest movement of life around me,
how wondeful to attune to the wind, the leaves, the cacophony of beautiful words and deeds, the harmony in the blinking of strangers, the sway of steps on the streets, the collapse of the waveforms of dreams that we called reality
how hard to have a mind that might understand eventually that truth is complicated or not for every creature on the walks of life.
my essence is vulnerability my strenghts is my weakness for my foolishness there is no cure
don't have to look in the mirror to recognize
my human face, your human face, their faces
late in the night when I close my eyes I see only people, the beauty of the world, the cosmos created through pain, how
the morning of the day I was born was there, and everything was already breathing before me and everything will be still spinning its mystery when this excess of life will rob a last breath from me. I know I will be watching the breath of light, how everything gets illuminated when the time is ripe

It has been a while
Since I saw insanity
It's been a while where I couldn't sleep
That I was chased by nightmares
A wise man once told me that you are as insane as you believe you are
That there are natural born disasters and things in this world that will **** your dreams
Horrors no one should face
I learned that those horrors are us
Us as people we are destroyers of life but also its givers
Horrors as simple as our minds
She told me the other day "I love you."
Her soft whispers caressing the folds of my desires tell me I am not insane
And so it has been a while since I have felt like this
It has been a while truly that I feel I am not insane
Its been what feels like a life time to hear "I love you."
It'll be a while till I can say I am a giver as I have yet to learn not to destroy
But she yeah she...well she's a wondeful teacher.
You're not alone.

The truth is
I've never been so terrified before
In this life,
We never know what's in store
I'm a terrible mess
Left scattered on the floor
Because everything I've ever loved
Has walked out the door
So there I was,
I finally got the strength to build
Up some walls
They're made out of
Bricks and cement
They will never fall
But you came in
And somehow knocked them over
You promised me you'd be mine
Even when we're older
I fell for you so fast I can't
Even explain
How wondeful you are
To take away my pain
I love you
As the sun loves the moon
You promised me
You'd be back soon
But right now you're so far
But I will always keep my door ajar
Just incase you come back home
For I don't believe its safe for you to roam
But I've never been so scared before
All I want is forever to be yours
I hope nothing gets in the way
I hope your feelings never fade away
I know for a fact you are better than me
Its so very easy to see
I'd give you the stars
Because you healed my scars
Please never leave me
There's no way I could breathe
I could never love again
My love for you is until the very end
You are my soul mate
My sunshine
My prince
And my fate
This is why I'm mortified at the thought of losing you baby
So will you always stay, maybe, just maybe?
Nope he's gone.

I've made my bed
I know what I've said.
But i still fill my brain full of lies.
The ugly bliss
Of satisfaction almost missed,
Like a a truth
That was secretly a lie.
A wonderful thought,
Comforting you think,
but really it's not.
Its a tear down your face,
As you tear holes in your face.
With your own self-righteous lies.
You do it for yourself,
it would be nice if it helped.
But it does nothing,
But make me cry.
It's been an interesting week so far, thanks all of you that are on this page, albeit only 3,
Thanks those of you that have seen and enjoyed I really don't know what else to do.

Everytime we passed by each other
My heart begins to beat faster
From that moment, I knew
I was already falling for you

Something in you has captivated my heart
Now I see you as a wondeful art
It's like your eyes were speaking to my soul
Making me want you even more

Then I saw the way you look at her
At first I did not really care
For I thought it was just nothing
Not knowing she was you everything

I tried to suppress my feelings
But it's too late, I'm already hurting
Then I realized why we were meant to be apart
*Unlike you, I was a very chaotic art

When the ship of life sets sail,
where exactly will you be?
Below deck, not quite able to see the world
With your head down and your hands tucked in
your jeans' pockets. And as your ships sails on
the waters, steered by others you miss everything.
The gushing wind. you know not what it feels like,
The ocean spray. You know not what it tastes likes
The bright blue skies. You know not what it looks like.
But what you do know,
Is what it all sounds like, and so
The journey, you missed and as the ships docks on the dark
shores of the end of your journey.
All you can remember is not what it
Felt like,
Tastes like, nor
What it looks like but what it all sounded like.
Wondeful was the sound of the stories other lads had to tell
But now that you've come to the end
What is your story? The stories of men
For you never got to see, taste or feel it for yourself
Because you were below deck thinking all is well.
-This is a poem i wrote a long time ago, it was originally posted on my blog twistedmb.blogspot.com If your eyes manage to view this, leave a comment, good or bad, I'd like to know what I can improve on, Thank you :).

I could see it this whole time
The cliff
That terrifyingly scary ,wondeful fall
waiting for me
Falling in love
I could see it before,
But now I'm slipping.
The ground I thought was firm beneath me
Is crumbling.
I'm sliding, slowly falling..

confusion
Zabava Jun 2015
I am confused
about life which was a wondeful dream
a romantic discovery, expedition, forest maze
with grand narratives fossil minds mysteries and power struggles
i wanted to find out the absurdities of the world , of people, of the human .mind
lest i seem to have stumbled , quite loudly , in a planned un awkward manner
that nothing is abstract ,only the stories you find you create
you decide to say
to yourself ,and the stories you watch out ,listen to.
and the wonder re returns
and that makes me happy.
career crisis. that ce all
We live because we're free.
A people who truly believe.
That love is hard to find.
And to find is to look beetween.
A thin line than runs straight through the middle.
A thin line that can barely be seen.
And when you cross that line
Try to define,
Your own logic,
Never taste defeat.
Which is a feat
Because defeat is a substance that doesn't help.
Only locks away,
The pain you taste, a pain that shouldn't be felt.
A pain that lacks the desire to win.
Consuming you from the line thats hidden within.
The lies disguised as the substance,
An evil within.
Which don't help but  numb the pain.
Of Love never truly felt.
Only ever looked like a game.
With the pieces lining up,
Queen next to King.
But who made the first move?
Thats for you to know.
But before you find out,
You should probably without doubt.
Get away from the substance,
That brings you hurt more than facing the pain.
Find that line that lays in beetween.
No gain without pain.
So just face it and accept a wondeful feat.
Beat the substance.
And fine,
that greater line in beetween.
Drugs are an option for numbing. They're never an option for a way out.
when you get the love bug it will start to bite
fill you up with happiness fill you with delight
with a little nip it will make you glow
fill you full of joy as love begins to flow

he will crawl around in your heart inside
make you feel so wondeful fill you up with pride
when his job his done and love is there for you
he will start again and bite somebody new

Like the saying close mouth don't get fed.
It shares many similaritie with love.
If you don't chase after it.
You can't feel the affects of it.
So, turn to love.
It's wondeful.
It's beautiful.
So, turn to love.

Just receiving it brings a delight to your soul.
Ask those that know.
And they explain the many ways it enhances you.

Find it.
Enjoy it.
Reach for it.
And explore it.

Yes, reach for love.
And it will locate your heart.
