Keep time and good company,
Stay laissez-faire,
Of your diet, be mindful:
Of your body; take care.

With intention and tact,
Choose well what you wear,
Downtown or in the garden,
Be seen without glare.

When you're mannered and prim;
You're fit to a pair,
Politely, be you,
Though be a you they can bear.
I wish I had been told this when I was younger.

I simply will not listen,

To anything you say,

I'll sit and drink,

Try not to think,

Of what I did today.

Do not grudge pain
It holds on its hot blanket
The evidence of life
Handled and well managed
Life from it
Takes its meaning

Star Gazer
We live in a world where clouds of hope
Plummet upon this vast land mass
Only to be met with disappointment.

We live in a world where love
Is dressed up as a thread tied from above
Forming bonds between two individuals.

We live in a world where being accepted
Is more important than being unique
Unable to strive to surpass one another.

We live in a world where the cruel
Tread upon the kind
Just to signify some surmising strength.

We live in a world where hearts get broken
Where words of love have been spoken
Only to equate to words of a politician.

I believe
That writers are
So brave
Because each time
They start writing
Blotting ink onto
Their paper
Frustratingly typing on
Their laptop
They rip their heart out
Of their chest
And show the world
What it's made of.
