I find myself in that familiar place
where wounds reopen
and the feeling of danger
beckons to race

Old scars wanting to tear apart
like a stray bullet to the heart
Old habits emerge so mindless
despite being met with kindness

I question if I've really healed
If these years have anything to yield
Uncomfortable is how I've felt
Do I peek at this hand that is dealt

I'm at a crossroad of old and new
Simply locked scared at what to do

Yet I know I will choose you

I will always wear my heart on my sleeve
No matter the times it's torn away
In the work I've done I believe

Will keep you beside me day by day

This 'uncomfortable' is my test
Trust me that you'll get my best
My work will not be undone
because what we have has just begun
Healing after a breakup is tested when to try to date once more. Those feelings will come back as a defensive layer, your reaction is everything

her smile
like a stone
on my still glassy lake
slushhh...
inside
heart broken
body-shaking
made
an attempt to reach
her shadow but
she moved
to collect
another stone
to aim at
someone....

The years fly by fast,

so the better you can see --

what the changes are.

For hours they're chasing

each other across the plains:

thundery showers.

girl uninterrupted
my little wasteland
four corners and me
gloom fills the room
nice and bleak
then you appear
and burst the seal
want it closed
now it leaks

there is no end
in my wasteland
the walls all laugh at me
they know my empty
cold, cold heart
they laugh at me
my misery

Is it love or lust,
This that has caused misery,
Is it love or just to ******,
This that has brought bitterness,
The forbidden fruit,
Has been eaten en it's results,
Nobody can deny the truth,
to have not set eyes on them.

Is it love or lust,
This that has made youths desperate,
Claiming how sweet there fruit is,
Not knowing it has become a poison,
Killing the body and soul,
Is it love or just to ******.

Is it really love or just to ******,
For trust has become a vocabulary
And rust is all we claim to have,
So blunt we've become  thinking about nothing else,
But the many betrayals,
From the betrothed fellows.

I will wait for this to pass,
sometimes, that's all you can do.
I will pray it to go away,
this is what desperation does.
I will wish for it to never return,
I wish this every time.

A broken smile can linger for months
(coming from a heart waiting to die)
all things left unsaid, even, goodbye.

I kiss her softly
And she kisses me gently

And I hold her hands

And she holds mine

And I smile at her

And she smiles at me

And we both laugh
Under the palm tree

And feeling love inside our hearts tonight

Holding each other so tight

And I softly whisper

I love you so much in life

And she gently whispers I'll love you for the rest of my life.
