Jumped out of the night
into the stark day
a fragile prayer on the lips
mustering childlike humility
knowing I need the love
only a God could give;
this mortal life, eternal perspectives.
Our Father

Purab
Underneath a ebony sky,
Sitting at the foot of a tree.
Magnetic depths of the night,
Draws me in.
Eyes glued to a moonless sky.
In this mournful sadness,
A darkness seeps,
Through my cracked heart.
In my veins,
flows a tar of chaos.
Painful tears,
tracing through,
the contours of my face,
The scenario so far!
Bleeding in utter silence!
It's here,
Across her gaze.
Under the flora,
The grey grim murk on the perch.
The swallow song no longer heard
Over rap-racket from the stereo,
Hardening ear lobes.

It's here,
In the shallow pits of the room,
Where one wallows in part-pity
And shameful surrender
To the mic’s mild embrace.

It's here,
Hiding in the hollow,
Glaring wistfully into nothingness,
Gliding in undulating vistas
Across light and dark
In the dark and light of head-space.

I hold the rim of the coffee cup,
Clasping tightly until it drops
On her clammy clad,
The iris eyes me dangerously.

My final resignation.

Now I am here.

The wind whispers in our ears
their last goodbyes.
As beautiful souls
around the world
begin to fly.
There are so many beautiful people out there
but that doesnt make you any less.
Think about the stars,love
There are so many in the sky
each of them with a special form
but dont you want to cherished them all?

Butterflies are not as fragile as you might think
dancing flight to an unseen band
playing scent on the wind from all the colours of flowers
wings knitted together in secret
this little insect knows how to radically change,
roll with the punches,
and come out on top even more beautiful.

A woman wearing perfect gums holding in place rows of perfect white teeth driving a shiny red sports car down a black smooth tarmac street
smiling as she sped past little houses surrounded by white picket fences
the hood down hair flowing singing alleluia, alleluia , alleluia , I use a toothpaste recommended by the dentists who are being paid for appearing in this advert and saying exactly what you expected them to.

Relatives can be quite demanding
no more so with all contradictions
they want something from you
something only they can give to themselves.
