if only i could travel to the far west
where the mystery lived
to sing the songs of ancestors passing

i woke up in my dark bedroom
my thirst satisfied, my soul refreshed
the joys of reading.

My mistake
Was loving you too hard.
My regret
Was never telling you
That I needed love back.

i want my soul to
tangle up with yours and find
comfort in chaos

Into a beautiful 2020

You wouldn't look me in the eyes
So I stared upon the stars
And hope they'd bounce them to yours

It's a rainy day
The sun is hiding
The fog rolls in
The road is guiding

A sweet nostalgia
Pulls strings on my heart
It's been too long
That we've been apart

The miles go on
I'm closer to you
The clouds fade away
The sky is blue

The time has come
I see your eyes
Miraculous
They match the skies

I'm in your arms
As daylight fades
And all my worries
Melt away

I'm crawling, clawing my way through this
dark, damp tunnel
memories of the light fading, falling
out of my reach
the tunnel is all I know-
it is not unfamiliar to me
I have been here before
I know the light will come again
