He was never scared, back then
He was a fighter ready to jump into the battle
And nothing could break him
He was invincible
Unstoppable
He was never scared, back then
But that's only because
He didn't have anything to fight for

The day she appeared in his life
He knew she was the love of his life
He would have gone anywhere with her
He would have done anything for her
And as he gets back up again
Beaten and bloodied
She beats him down again
Barely breathing
And
Anything can break him
She is invincible
Unstoppable

She's crushing his heart in her hands
She doesn't have anything to live for
Anymore

I get goosebumps
whenever I dig deep into my soul
& I like it
I need you
I want you with me
now and forever
to be by my side

We have a chance
it might work
We might see each other
as we’ve always dreamed.

I can’t imagine
I’d love it so much.
I want it to happen
I hope it will

If it does
If I see you there
wherever it is
it’s home.

And despite all the longing
despite all the pain
If I see you I’ll be complete
If our eyes meet, I’ll be home.

If I’m with you, I’ll be home.
Beautiful teenager
so smart and clean
Honor Roll, Glee Club
Homecoming Queen

The dance, the party,
enjoying the night.
Evil seeps in,
destroyed her pride

A cancerous pill
sinks down below.
Taking the sip,
Wouldn't you know?

Glazed stare, from her eyes,
not knowing the known.
Steps in the abyss,
blackness be ******.

Minutes to hours,
hours to days,
This homecoming queen
has lost her ways.

Three days have passed,
naked, afraid.
Miles from home,
Memories are fade.

The devil creeped in,
destroyed her soul.
SLIT HER WRIST
SHE'S FINALLY HOME!!

Is it too late to not love you?
To take back my thoughts, feelings too?
Because you are a terrible distraction,
Who leaves me without satisfaction...
Wish I could read your mind.

**Wow, I'm extra surprised this trended, it's just a text I sent him. Thank you all so much <3
I would've given birth
To you,
Endured whatever
Mothers do.
Instead, I did
What Dads do.

I rocked you
Til my future shook;
Watched you til
I couldn't look.
As you changed,
I changed too,
To do the things
That Dads do.

You were bathed,
Dressed and fed;
I loved you so much
I was saved.

If there's credit,
Well, I get it,
For teaching you to read.
I took the blame
When you got bored
With school's ABC's.

I followed you
In all your roles,
Your teams,
Your solos,
Your trips,
Your shows.
First to clap,
Last to sit;
I taped it all,
From start -
To finish.

I taught you
How to tie a lace,
Ride a bike,
Golf and skate.
When time arrived
For you to drive,
You learned
On standard,
Never stranded,
You came home alive.

Your highs
I took in stride,
By example taught
Humility's pride.
Your lows,
I couldn't internalize,
I dropped my guard
With my eyes.

When Dad's do well
It's a double edge,
The future wedge.
The world
Revealed
Desired you too.
I don't dismiss
What mothers do,
But when Dads do well,
Both lose you.
If you are uncomfortable when you look in the mirror,
keep in mind:
We spent thousands of years
trying to convince the earth
she was flat.

We wrote her maps as evidence of the things we saw;
and she believed them.
She cried tsunamis, and had earthquake breakdowns.

Keep in mind: the Sun never gave up hope.
The earth will keep spinning and breathing
the star-dusty space void of encouragement.

Next time you look in the mirror
and second-guess your potential divinity,
remember you will keep shining and living.

Because the Sun is out there
believing in you,
compensating for lack of the human capacity
to treat each other empathically.

You don’t need proof or approval
to be exactly what you are;
Eventually everyone will see
your infinite beauty.
