Half-way between the bowled catcher
My cradled bones soon to taste air
The cold of night numb me
And the hidden side once it is freed
As inside this carcass soon to be
Will all my soul take sudden leave
As forceps without a clamp
And hammer without its blunt
Strike my neck procedurally
To codify another thread

I roll my eyes lifeless before
The opening in the sky
Behind the blue reflecting sea
A mirror pocked by the white
Of clean and careless clarity
Sterile back-drop covered by primer
As soon the basket will be
Grass roots will taste copper today
And tails bear the thickened rubies

Ever changing questing bright
The footsteps dried like pen-marked words
Another order change my hold
Of how I retain my parts for naught
I see the periods repeat around my last
All to sign with blackest truth
To one who hold the quill above
Continue to weight down with ink

Clouds blow like the paper's did
When I was shackled to the ring
My back was bent by mallet-ends
And by the bridge of glasses scoured
Move slow or fast the end is same
I still will be in arms of wood
Soak by my predecessor's edicts

It shined with lacquered veneer distinct
A task mine to complete
Renew a thirsting stretch its slake
For revenge of how its purpose take
From off the leg not moving yet
It screams as I will to the skies

Single globe stare back at me
While all the rest take time to blink
And luminate reflection down
So I can shy and block the ground
You long-describing say I meet

Last wind carry your signal flare
As I take in the last greys of earth
Close-lidded shut out the cold
Preparing another set to crack

You never shift your watch from me
The spectacle all too enticing
How the colour dissipates to the air

You hold me in memory
As does the cradle's coating

Beneath the next tens countless sentance

Hath they quaver
By any other sway but West
To sunset
For its fallen brother
I would have taken
Far from mistaken
The beads of sweat from rest

Risen dried
Crackle bones lost milk of mother
And other
Departed as the bending sigh
The one that bred its daughter lie
So seed can bloom with mindful bride
Shed off the blissful slumber

Would golden blaze
Be unlike the brass war-chains
In low remains
Whilst weight shift in its wake
Tell moving breath
Out come its wealth
And not the founding of its pains

Slip from sightless
Gloss a cover of unknowing
Left bowing
No wisp of remorse or remiss
But metal shifts
And opened rifts
Divide an ocean outgrowing

Shards beneath
Emblazoned even if in dark
I shall hark
Precious dull that beckons breathe
Even if restrained
Will not let waned
How earthen dreams have left their mark

If I could see
Old ones with minds of gilded time
Would it shine
And make pearls out of shapeless sea
Take their age
Befit a sage
To wrap this darkened world with light

Safe walkway
Come by the cobbles by the days
And passing they
Make moulded casts of harshest clay
So must I
Wait then to lie
Once sibling star has passed my way

Ore-laid wreath
Weigh low my courage rash and weak
So bleak
Beside the timeless task to seek
Shores for the flame
Never the same
Like sands through spyglass let receive

Should they fall
In avalanche cascade their edge
A hopeless fledge
Understand a broken wall
Births fouled resentment
Doubtless consignment
The dam repent its burden baggage

Return
By rivers come a lightened sky
A catching eye
To spread the scattered overturn
Ringlets in the armour glow
Wind suffered gently blow
Witness resending wisdom fly
Originally written on October 18, 2014.  Tenth poem for the Hundred Theme Challenge by The-Poetry-Cafe.  I liked the theme title so much I called this poem such.  It came out a bit more metaphorical than I wanted, involving the use of the lost one's wealth and use, the wealth and use of gold, and the...wealth and use of the days as they breathe in repetition to reset.  I don't know.

Before me
I feel the hand another placed
Whether it was so long
That the language they spoke was strange
Or near enough to touch
As was what was now
I cannot say

The demarcations by the brush
And knife and palate board were one
But here I know not to see them
Only to experience a part
A portion of the exchange
Like the loss in translation
So a blind man tries

It is one blank and haze from birth
A single shapeless depth
That endured the years into its gut
Among the faces and the shades
Like a flower know not its scent
Nor the ocean its expanse
I am unable to understand

Smooth cuts along their blades
And rows where the bristles gap
I wage the moats of paint and pencil
And take in their edge
Their weight upon the frame
Like I would the wind
How it blows through my stranger tips

One is lost to outside walls
Obstructing none who know to look
To only what is in one's reach
The window ahead
And not the mirrors
Or the mason brick barriers
That belay a soul whom thinks ahead

To other grasp the naked dream
An emptiness materialize
Through one notwithstanding yield
A glass even I can peer through
That drives the same man
The same soul
To the burdens I have been ******

True sight is one that catches sign
The single or a multitude
Infinity befalls the eye
But those who learn to sort their panes
Can feel through its difference
And guess its weight
Even if their worlds are blind

You beat against the iron braced
The timbres shake but bolts withstand
As large this door is as it's thick
Your signal still encroaches clear

Sanctuary spouts its shrill
Like bells of rotting brass be tolled
I can tell you weaken more
By every second I lay claim

Some footfalls by the ****** in breath
And every ounce it takes
To think of whether side will draw
Conclusions I foresee

Hushed sobs on other side I hear
Not innocence at all
The tears are caked in ****** acts
As are the palms I fold

They round about and blaze their way
Their curses dark and vile
To wall or line of lancing spears
You are left in ramping free fall

You kick the wood with all your might
Desperation burning high
As I the listener await the fate
Of wolf pack on its hanging prey

My cushions bow where I've taken sleep
And tossing sheets along their creases
Sameness come the time I upright-
-To the days I reap

Same hours fly and crawl eavesdropping on my mind
White flowers pigmented by waters where they drink
I endure until I can retreat
To long suffer a recess I am always close to find

The springs in my mattress know my weight
Their creaking a sound as lullaby
To rock me in same exactness played-
-In every end of day

The flip side has married wooden frame
Coupled till the death of mine will break
Wrap me with pleated lily craft-
-So we can always stay

Same hours fly and crawl eavesdropping on my mind
White flowers pigmented by the waters where they drink
I endure until I can retreat
To long suffer a recess I am always close to find

Vagabond with an empty carboy
Searching through the murk of starlight
Drip the molten ice of winter harsh
And the blooms of his past repitoire
Engulfed inside the ethanol marsh

Conscripts fly through bus of steel
Tails of fire and smoky heal
Through the scar shred ****** sand
And rain a glass downpour
That licked a smile to open addiction

Barrel wash and nebulous hide
The screams in blur of addled mind
Red heat burn the hand with shrapnel
Bodies piled in empty screams
Weave through open mouths their spell

Rolls of tracks and wheeled anger
Windows filled by smiles and raining tears
Cobble graves for those who pass
And carafes for relinquished hands
That cannot escape the felt triggered blast

Flower fields like dispersed astral clouds
Colours sharp as bayonets downed
And rusted worn their armaments
Leave in beauty and fictioned dream
For those who died least be their penance

New asteroids collage in belts
Learn the easiness of their strikes
Have fury boiled by worldly ties
And over brims of forges rise
For they must learn their mental cries

Haggard ruins of their youthful posture
Scars and stains litter uniformed closure
The realities nothing can be described
So shall their children not expect
How holding embers in their grip will blind

Threats in words that once were death
Borders crossed without their step
History just words and relics for sons
And in the eyes blanked with the horror
Lest they be forgotten by any one

Soak whom dines on gangling relief
Desire the amnesiac amber thief
But teachers cannot misplace their sight
Have nothing left for meeting glance
Of a innocent smile asking their right

Stand tall with shaking wounded legs
Shell shocked craters as red pegs
In the global map always in shift
Have lessons for the ones whom wish
To know the proper and the wrong we missed

Dwarfs inside the void of matterless
Black blend into the snowy countenance
While burn the brightness of their parents
From ago before repeated actions
Watch fires live in vivid visions

See the tortured starving faces
Break into a knowing grin
As spectral shadows for the lush
To keep their finger always *****
To the evidence we left so much

Haltingly plummeting
Down and downers collide
Into the walls of my brain

Glaciate the teardrop eye
Morphine expand my perspective
From syringe end-
-To the bottom of the bottle I fly

Lines on my cheeks reflex
Down in descending sorts
As I catch the winding specs

Hindrance verify the valley
Varicose gatherings sped thin
Slick my wings-
-With the kerosene that blindly gleams

Tail a lax lolling tongue
Flick the cardiac beat
I silently haven't sung

Tunnel make the flood waters dance
Demise to my landlocked yard
Leave me afloat-
-Scared to touch a tide's happenstance

Detritus rise to sight
Broken glass and liquid
Ride the current to the right

Spaces have no resemblances
Careless dive into my lids
Shake the tree-
-And out come a fruit of strange sense

Zebra stripes combining
The blur awaiting none
Sends my whiskers bestilling

Swimming to the musical tones
Forget where I was before
Taken far-
-Contentment to wake in another home

Auburn introversion
Will by its arm hold on
Stationary sanction
A constant fissure line

Coming insurrection
Feathered scavengers intrude
For complete cessation
Between the vein and valve

Cutlass complication
Devised the elements
Defiled justification
Wilt into a hardened blame

Fuller indentation
Wreak an engulfed compliance
Its gestation
A bitter control

Chipping fortification
Nails its own mimic
Boweled duplication
Inflicts compounding mirrors

Slowed decimation
From flesh unwilling
Adorn fancification
A scream its teeth

Separation
Impending with haste
The nullification
By removing all proof

Divination
Demand nothing less
By holy vindication
Come clean and silenced

One simplification
As fall essence from claw
Heavy by degradation
Left behind lessons

A home desperation
Cleansed opened to breathe
Now that implication
Is taken in the wind

Gargling on the film of rain smatter
For what?
Into that blue, carve a square nest
That I can pour bar its clutter
Into my wrist
All but
Ruby blessed

Harrowed koi speckled and spatter
The semi colons
My indecisive pause or full stop
Leaves my head underwater
And the pop
Stolen
To offward hop

Glassy bottles, tubes of black
Know me well
A who that breathes this ending call
Can look and reaching back
From the fall
See fell
The absent bawl

Vanity violet and lied
Face me
The name of bunching petals different
As irises inside their wet ink hide
Back reflect
Come free
What I not expect

Matted layers compact swung panels
Either way
Open, to their cast of prisoned souls
Closed, to continue what may well
Unfold
A lily bay
Or ferric shoal

Jeweller for tonight has set
I am a bearer
Through murky depths resend no fact
And airless suspend the single bracelet
A pact
Sealed to wear
When I am lost in their black

Rain into the eves flow down
The surrogate decline
While bubble by the entering
Veins of gypsum window
Stay affixed by mine
And pursue while I pointed leave
The blue underneath
Masked a coursing guise

Whittled off a simple branch
One bud small as the tear
Still mother's hair before its time
To weathered dully glow
Buoy in a sinking fear
One child's wail far
Flow down into the whirling yawn
With blue ropes ready bear

My simple say is silent stalked
By dredged comeuppance will
First droplets tumble off the reed
Then rest in lining scroll
Roots mined until their packs have fill
Once one shine prejudice
The stolen difference be borne
Out with the welling sail

Bench boards are cold with pearly ropes
The fallen necklace by Hera's spite
Goddess ruling blinded for her wrath
To the ruination of nonchalant hopes

The clatter by the loamy soil
Fallen tree sleeves wipe their cuffs
And down goes gold and ocean gifts
Like bronzed fruit ready to spoil

Take rest so bunions softly shrink
Soles harden but where not tread
For a while the eyes freed can wander
To the round white spheres entangled beneath

Traveller of the gutters find
The goddess grace cast down and lost
Until she spies another's cues
For jealous nature opens the blind

Cradled sand in material cloud
By twine of lifethread in love's promise
Feel something in one's aching joints
That mortality alone allowed

That beauty is a shapeless fiend
By generations leave its shell
Until grandchildren take the rot
And call it godsend always been

Ancient mother's coming call
To unsuspecting holder of her art
The timepiece tells a stranger hour
Of where her children look and fall

Wound by the road have stopped their cries
The forest arms detached have warmed
In evidence that life persists
For gone are all that left have lied

In distant stretch she will descend
A foreign face in hourglass
Clutching her string of memory
No recollection in its head

To empty mind she is a ghost
Epitome of something dreamt
And she will float on past glories
With wisdom of the ages host

To empty mind she represents
A gesture given half in hope
That present thought can wrap around
The interaction now dispensed

I shall amend the last line
Give me my sand and water so I can remove such a blight for you

What
You do not wish my hand to slay the crosses and lines?
Have a stain where I wrote my minutes lost forever
And not my original pact?
Then why stay my hand?
Did it occur that as I set my tools to bed
And pick up another tail from the carcass you made me ****
Something like this would not stifle me
And you?

Fine
Have it your way either way you spin my grip
I am only the tangible extension of your whims
Mine are gone with the soul of discarded beast at my table
The thought not crossing my mind to follow its shadow while you stare
Your eyes bore holes into my back until I bleed out the right words for you
And you grant me passage to take my own flight

I shall amend the next line
Give me my sand and water so I can clean such a messy thought for you

Distraction impede the motion of the text
As I am stuck in irons of punctuation you keep shape-changing
Broken out of comma's pauses
And you slap the final periods onto my palms that I can never step from
Blots form on the statements then
And enraged that I resist you start again

Yes
I am listening to what you have said
As my fingers dig trenches into my wrist I hear you
I hear you even when I am given time to sleep
Your orders yet another pain of baring flesh
Shred down to its rawest level by my patience to not depart
In the smallest fraction of clarity as you blink to reset your retinue

I shall amend the first line
Give me my sand and water so I can change such a story for you

Whenever you breathe the final end
Be it in my lifetime or the one I have left to stand you
Let it be that I catch your exhale in a empty inkwell
And trap your toxic soul in the same black that is the colour of your self
I would very much like to chain you to this prison dwelling
Watch as I sit ***** to crack and flex and breathe out your affect

Indeed I know ahead
The present master by my chair guide a tired limb
To make a yay a nay and a day forever
As your telling dawdles into nonsense does it blend
Make friends of enemies and daggers into pens
Must I suffer any longer re-stepping over the same syllables
I will not hesitate to respell a weapon out of my instruments

Quaint with the ribbons soft
Another asking question laid
Will there be more to come
If the longer that I wait

Teacups drip the watered red
So thin a comparison drawn
I can flesh out the gaze
Moment by that dazzling dawn

Across with hands palm up
Mine atop your stubborn shoulders
Ease out the answer by
Removing Atlas from the boulder

Relaxed bands and flushed cheeks
Smile back reciprocating
The leaves rest below the lip
Strengthening the tasteful sting

A look into each other's pools
Limpid slow and restful now
Until our fingers rapping
Dance the waves together found

Romping with the wind caroused
Non-hearing inside this film
Metal cage rattle its shocks
As asphalt chips by rubber

Metal lights take gaseous orb
Eaten the fill of pitch
The filaments gyrate inside
Three trapped in transit gait

I hear voices, but not their sayings
Two heads cut by the shadows
And just so would they be one beast
If not for their storytelling
But I am another realm of one cell
One bunk divided to their floor
Where they dance plots of sweet nothings
And I try to shut my eyes

Vacant stare flesh out outside
Away from here in torture
Slipped through the crack of rubber tracks
Like pebbles breaking free

Black road to the black of night
A fabric soft subjective
Comfort by the passing orbs
To slowly dissipate

More non-consequential talk
Buzz like mud inside the gears
That bend and move myself around
But not the illusions created
Past marvels walk the way with me
And act their lives designed
By one whom sits inside a cage
So dark it seems inviting

Stretches patched by tidal waves
The gurgle of the brook
A peaceful key to slip away
Like amber shades in flight

What behind is not ingrained
To forward must we go
The destination set us loose
And me from what I know

Ignoring absorbed each other's ear
So speechless I forgotten
Accompanied to one and all
The things I so create
The calming beat on edge and tire
Sooth tears from pouring down
As better times repeat their flames
Orange with fleeting smiles

New shapes combine removed once
The time has blown the bars
To stone the rubber has its scars
But healing can commence

Breath by sun ensconced in glass
As vague as going path
My thoughts have metamorphosed
To setting of blurry nonsence

Waiting for the fruit to fill with pithy seeds
Underneath a barren lifeless tree
The carrion hunters spread their wings
And fan away the pollen on the breeze

My feet are crumpled sacks of bone and meat
My mind an ***** rotten like the orchards
Are scattered by my finger blackened pits
Inedible attractions for the birds

Famished as a calf without its mother
Left by the herd long crossed the overture
I cannot get my legs below my body
And find the gangly chains so I can stir

They wait above my dwindling departure
With slavering testaments to their breed
I am abandoned wasting underneath
With corpses of the scattered lives time bleeds

My gullet cries the reckless yawning end
That lungs have not attempted for so long
I let my chin collapse into my chest
Close my eyes remembering bygone
