This affliction,
my enemy,
Vast pain,
Frosty end for me,
Agony undying truth,
Something incurable,
The undying hope
Something durable.

My loved ones,
Notice I'm weak,
She will notice
I'm brittle,
True love I seek,
My strength, very little.

Torn between truth,
Not the athlete from youth,
Working hour after hour,
Crippled my body,
A fragile skeleton,
I embody.

My grandkids,
Inspired,
Regardless if grandpa,
Retired,
Cherishing moments,
In life,
I'll wisp away,
Still my wife.

Goodbye,
Beautiful queen,
I've loved you,
Since I was eighteen.
An old poem I wrote about my grandad passing away. I went back and edited it a little but it was the second poem I wrote. So sorry if it's not great but it's close to my heart. I wrote it from his perspective to my grandma.
Dark clouds,
Pollution fills air with dust,
Melted paintwork,
Cars rust,
The world is cold,
Hearts, brains and souls,
Full of mould.

Innocent animals die,
Innocent children cry,
The peaceful natural world
We once lived in,
Is full of death,
Heart break and sin.

I struggle to find a kind person,
The more I try and help
The more it seems to worsen,
If you're in doubt
About the life you live
Put on a smile,
Ask more and give.

For the world a bitter place,
So pick yourself up
An exception to the human race,
When you wake up grin
Share the laughter,
Eventually you'll wish
You did after.

If you feel times are tough,
Go explore, see the world,
You haven't seen enough,
Meet new people, meet new friends,
And fall in love,
Before your soul is caught
In a star from above.

Small children in poor countries,
Don't have healthy water,
But families go out and buy
A new car for their daughter.

With the world always spinning
Throughout the years,
All you're doing is sat
Shedding tears,
Just sit for a moment
Open your eyes and ears
It's not all bad,
When you've got family,
Friends and beers.
My final version of this, one of my originals but thought I'd go back and finish it :D
I love my sister dearly
she lives with me at home
She helps me with the stress of life
so I don't have to on my own

She parts clouds
Makes the sky blue
Then to ease my pain more
adds a soft cloud or two

She's building a beautiful garden
filled with hollihocks, foxgloves and such
It has an outdoor bathroom
that I will enjoy very much

She helps keep me grounded
my feet firmly on the ground
Keeps the dark clouds away
While to my life I'm bound
While helping care for my husband, my sister has built the most beautiful sensory garden for my husband and I.
My sister's amazing and I love her dearly
A  stiff  breeze
blowing  the  cherry  blossoms  away.
Petals  floating  into  space
like  tiny  butterflies.

The moon
is my only company
when I'm walking
down dimly lit streets.

I don't mind
that she knows
how I think.

I can tell she likes
the secrets I keep.

I never got the sun,
A shooting star got there first.
So I played catch with the moon
And when I took my hands away
My fingers bore
                            Burns.

But the moon doesn't have flames,
So the fire must be in me.
The moon should have some burn marks though
Otherwise the whole thing has been a façade.
