All that is gold does not glitter,

Not all those who wander are lost;

The old that is strong does not wither,

Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,

A light from the shadows shall spring;

Renewed shall be blade that was broken,

The crownless again shall be king.
Tracing shapes
My hands
Feel cold
Car seats
Rides
Outside
My makeup is
Too thick
And your
Mind
Is choking
Your sense
Mutual desire
But singular
Pleasure
Depression
On both ends
NO ONE KNOWS YOU BETTER THAN YOURSELF, NOT YOUR BEST FRIEND, HUSBAND OR EVEN YOUR MOTHER. DON’T LET ANYONE INFLUENCE OR FOOL YOU INTO GOING AGAINST YOUR GRAIN, EVER.
ALL THE ANSWERS TO ALL THE QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE, THE DOUBTS, THE FEARS OR SIMPLE CURIOSITY LIE IN THE PALACE OF YOUR HEART. YOU ARE A PRINCESS ADORNED WITH ALL OF THE RICHES YOU WILL EVER NEED TO LIVE A SUCCESSFUL LIFE AND YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND SMART.
SO CLAIM YOUR INHERITANCE, SPEAK AND ACT LIKE ROYALTY, HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH AND REACH OUR SWEET HEAVEN. DON’T LET PEOPLE OR CIRCUMSTANCES SWAY YOU FROM YOUR THRONE OF BELIEFS, STRIKE YOUR MAGIC WAND TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.
USE YOUR AUTHORITY WITH CONFIDENCE AND WATCH YOUR AUDIENCE OBEYING WITH REVERENCE. YOUR LEGACY IS TO PROSPER AND IN YOUR REALM MAKE A NOTABLE DIFFERENCE.
You made me feel as though I had galaxies is my veins
And like my eyes were deep pools of the night sky
My mouth had been a grave yard
But you planted the tree of life on my tongue
My hair contained the winds of the world
But since the day I found out you left
I started draining my galaxy veins
Leaving empty universes
Reality with you holding her fogged over my night sky eyes
The tree of life was poisoned by my acidic voice
The day you left
The wind became extinct
And every metaphor I ever was, is gone
This is the new edited version of an old poem I wrote
I love my hour of wind and light,
I love men’s faces and their eyes,
I love my spirit’s veering flight
   Like swallows under evening skies.
Everyone is high
On self pity and
Hate
Self diagnosed with
A terrible
Fate
No one knows
How to be sad
Without writing it off
As extraordinarily bad
Happiness isn't
A permanent gig
It's always there
If you bother to dig
Everyone is sad
Because the world is ****** up
And no one dares
To see the good stuff
A world of pessimism
Breeds angry babes
And they all start to believe
Theres no Other way
So load up on drugs
Get high in the rest
Because that's when the world
Looks its ******* best
No one was taught
How to smile
Despite the world
Looking dark for a while
So we all slit our wrists
And demand sympathy
From a world that never cared
If you were down on your knees
My eyes are strained against an LCD,
my fingers mindlessly tapping away.

[My eyes are on the road,]
                                                                  [my fingers intertwined with yours.]

I look up at the clock,
the entire day is behind me now.

[I look up at my rearview,]
[the entire city is behind me now]

I lean back in my office seat
and let out a sigh of exasperation.

[I lean back in the driver's seat]
[and let out a sigh of content]

The droning sound of the printer
drags with my monotonous heart.

[The melodic sound of your laughter]
                                                                  [lifts my symphonic heart]

I work until the sun drops

[We drive until the sun rises]

                                                  and then
We drive.
                                                                  [I work.]
