Amanda In Scarlet
I am covered with
Excreted expletives
Light bleeds between my fingers
And merges with tears.
Words are weapons
Spat jaggedly, slicing cruelly
Into gentle dreams,
Silence is the final, finishing cut.
Leave me smothered
In dislike and disdain,
Leave me shaking,
Naked and in pain.
Wrote this one a while ago when angry and upset - it has lost its power to affect me now and I feel ready to post.

You hold the reins I wear,
I feel my skin blister in tear;
My heart lies in your hand,
My breath escapes your palm like sand.

You tied the reins that hold me back,
You didn't believe that I'd follow your track;
My love succumbs to cold despair,
This loneliness you can't repair.

I'm distorted here beside you,
I can see you're afraid of whats inside you;
The beasts ate your heart,
*With mine ruined, now we'll never part...

Batool
she was just a random girl
for the world outside
no one knew her real face
the one she always hide

they  made sure to make her think
that she can never dance
blocking for her all the paths;
she never got her chance

They thought of her as just a girl
a girl with broken smile
without reading her mystic eyes
that told her secret while

picking up the heart's rhythm
she decided to dance
ignoring what they made her think
she tried to take her chance

the moment when she moved her feet
everlasting spell was cast
mesmerizied by her rebellious moves
they fall for her real fast

flowing towards a melodious realm
she made her moves advanced
never missing a single beat
she danced and danced and danced

the music filled her as she danced
with eternal peace ...
the world then witnessed
her real worth
she was the masterpiece !!
i never heard of the golden ratio
or any of the beauty's rules
was in love with her in one go
needed no measuring tools.

i fell in love not with her look
with the proportions on her face
i didn't go by any rule book
just loved her in her wholeness.

never cared if her lips had a pout
the distance between her eyes
the length between her eyes and mouth
i was lucky not being that wise.

a feeling sparked in the core of mind
in my eyes she settled as a star
her attraction though was undefined
i fell in love with her.
Pamela Pallett and Stephen Link of UC San Diego and Kang Lee of the University of Toronto tested the existence of an ideal ****** feature arrangement. They successfully identified the optimal relation between the eyes, the mouth and the edge of the face for individual beauty. They discovered two "golden ratios," one for length and one for width.
Some even suggest that Leonardo Da Vinci used the golden ratio when painting his 'Mona Lisa.'

piano of life

ivory keys
seek the touch
of long-dead
fingertips

fluttering
flittering
elegant keystrokes
gracefully enchanted

bittersweet tunes
staccato lilts
incandescent harmonies
melancholy melodies

every heartbreaking keystroke
drips
with mournful,
dismal sadness

each life is a
unique song;
each has their own,
single chorus

some are a great crescendo;
some a lullaby;
some are a lonely tune;
some barely even brush the keys

each journey,
though,
has white keys of joy
and black keys of sorrow

*but
even the
black keys
make music
And here's another - how surprising - excessively long poem. Go figure. (Side note: I apologize if this poem sounds racist; that was not my intention.)
your opinion matters
the owner is you
give the others
their opinions' due.

your sense of value
is important no doubt
give others their due
when they speak out.

your idea of what's right
speak at free will
don't get into a fight
give others fair deal.

what you deem as just
not ever be repressed
but others let you must
have theirs get expressed.
