Lost my socks,
guessing while I was drunk.
In a car I placed them was,
looked again to see them gone.

Still new to me,
a long type I don't wear usually.
Black with white dots,
didn't cost a lot, but still hurts as much.

Kept my toes warm,
I kept them well, making sure no holes form.
I bought two pairs to compliment each other,
I guess now the other is alone.
They were like two lovers.

Though I have a spare,
my heart is still in two from losing that pair.

Goodbye my socks, I'll be sad about you.
I lost my socks while going out.

I can not help when I wake up with you on my mind
As if my eyes, had wandered off into the past

I know it’s over, but the more I see
The less I can claim to know

Inside my heart there are footprints
Artifacts of my wandering gypsy soul (sole)

My thoughts conjure up an image of your lips, but
I taste only that in which I miss

Only loneliness lingers on a phantom kiss
Calloused hands made of stone

Carved to reach out, but
No innate strength to hold them closed

Soft Rain

Soft rains drift on winds of change
Pitter-patter on my window pane
Enchanting the Earth with life renewed
By playing an old, nostalgic tune
That brings back melodies
The years had erased
Immersing me in
Your forgotten embrace
And for a moment,
My darling,
I see your delicate gleam
Rising from the asphalt
In small bouts of steam
Dancing along the empty lane
Tormenting me in my lonely disdain
For I know
Our separation will be long
But until we meet once more:
Soft rains drift on winds of change
Pitter-patter on my window pane
Playing you my love song.
Can you hear it,
My darling?

You can offer me all the riches in the world
And from time to time I’ll get tempted
To sell my soul
But whenever I think of you
I remember my simple words
Time is the most valuable thing
In this whole wide world

All I need, is you by my side
Let’s go out and have good time
By the sun
The beach is vast and I hope today will last
But if it doesn’t
At least we had some fun

The blacks from your eyes
Move from left to right
What do you have in sight?
Can it be me?
Or just a blank stare into the night sky

You think you know me
But you’ll know me better
When the rain has settled in
And you’ll stare at my soul
In between the sheets

You can offer me the riches of the world
But nothing compares when I see you smile
And if you don’t today,
Then at least we’ll have tomorrow
But one day you’ll hold my hand
And forget and let go of the past
Because all we have today,
Is all the time In the whole wide world
