Keeper of the meaning
      Mindfulness a prelude
           The struggled literature
  it asked the way
The keeper,
    contemplating the path
          Stopped to think about
       Natural things
Asking elders on the trail
Creating triads
         Depicting aspects
                  of her answer
    To the question
What it means
And some;
  were enlightened
And air and breath and beauty
       Wrought wrath
Indigenous justices
    Things worth keeping
          To the keeper of meaning
Butterflies in my stomach
I could try to contain them
or  I could let them surround me
and lift me to new heights
I am having some anxiety about starting at a college that is new to me.

I followed the light
At the end of the tunnel.
He led me here,
To this place.

I followed the light
At the end of the tunnel.
He promised to show me
God's grace.

I followed the light
At the end of the tunnel
Not knowing just what
I would find.

I followed the light
At the end of the tunnel
To leave all the
Dark days behind.

I followed the light
At the end of the tunnel
And now I'm here
With you.

I followed the light
At the end of the tunnel
But I'm not sure
What to do.

You followed the light
At the end of the tunnel.
He led you here,
To this place.

You followed the light
At the end of the tunnel.
Did you ever receive
God's grace?

We followed the light
At the end of the tunnel
But he didn't lead
Us astray.

We followed the light
At the end of the tunnel.
So at the end of the tunnel
We'll stay.
I saw you the other day
but you didn't notice me
when life becomes more
then you thought it was

Into and through your eyes
weaving in and out
all eyes on the road you said
all eyes on the road again

I couldn't imagine ever going at it
all alone without you
and now my numbers are down to one
face your fears you said,  stand tall
STAND TALL

We can all just smile now
the figure head has gone
temper and relief
in dreamland

I choose the unknown
I'll walk the path with blind eye
my love, my love
I left you to the void
I left you for dead
Now it is i
I am dead inside
I am sorry
it means little to nothing
but I am so very sorry

Every morning,
I awake with
your name
on my lips.
**
Leigh
When we two parted
In silence and tears,
Half broken-hearted,
To sever for years,
Pale grew thy cheek and cold,
Colder thy kiss;
Truly that hour foretold
Sorrow to this.

The dew of the morning
Sank chill on my brow—
It felt like the warning
Of what I feel now.
Thy vows are all broken,
And light is thy fame:
I hear thy name spoken,
And share in its shame.

They name thee before me,
A knell to mine ear;
A shudder comes o’er me—
Why wert thou so dear?
They know not I knew thee,
Who knew thee too well:—
Long, long shall I rue thee
Too deeply to tell.

In secret we met—
In silence I grieve
That thy heart could forget,
Thy spirit deceive.
If I should meet thee
After long years,
How should I greet thee?—
With silence and tears.
