She goes on the prowl
beneath night's creamy crescent
longing affection .
Haiku #4 / Inspiration: My cat .
threads borne onto wind like
spiders fly
off to Kalamazoo
or Greensburg
try
to make a home of substance
more centrified
like a cocoon
all cozy where
the grass is green the water sweet
the creek near
flowers grow wilder than in any envelope
of valentines
oh Bryan randomly Ohio I chose
to take my duffel pack to
open it
on the main street the boulevard
put out my sign
heart in need of healing
and await
see what happens
A fire it slowly rages,
as the ember it just,
a c h e s,
a sign of her reminders,
of the long and past mistakes,

In a jar above his mantle,
only ashes of her remain,
a small but stark reminder,
of the love she gave in vain.

past forever my never keeps coming up
the future an oblong stretched when or if
into the sunrises counted as birthdays the
alone celebrations with too much
balloon airing candle lit not blowing
burnt out in wax sulfur matches
and carmel
clowns and paradigms
wound up like coocoo clocks
set to go off all
at once
he laid me down
and ****** my breath away
with his ***** lips
take this how you want it to be taken...it may have multiple meanings

I can't wait
to see the sunrise
over California skies.
I know when I get there,
I won't believe my eyes.
It'll be a new kind of high,
to watch the sunrise,
way above the mountainsides,
into that California sky.
