Lost Girl
I lie in bed
Wide awake

What to do
I’m so confused

My heart is racing
Palms are sweating

I’ve lost control of this

Legs are shaking
Mind is spinning

Why aren’t I over this?

I try to breath
To lower my anxiety

But all I think is that I’m dying... dying

Am I really dying tonight?
I wrote this after experiencing some bad panic attacks last week. Playing this on the piano truly calms me down and keeps me from going to a dark place.

I am a warrior.
Stronger than her demons.
Braver than the darkness.

My gaze does not land on your figure
Unwittingly or by chance
It is drawn in, inexplicably
By your arresting presence

It awakens an aching hunger
Deep-seated and desperate
Which consumes me entirely
Until I am slave to it

I yearn for you unabashedly
For your entire being
A fervent desire so profound
For you I would mortally sin

Just look and I'll be at your mercy
One word and I'm on my knees
If anything is certain tonight
It will be me begging "please"
Look at you.
Look at me.
May 1, 2020.
You used to be mine
but worlds did not align
nor did day, nor did time
so with chills down my spine
and hands intertwined
you were stolen into the sky
now the only hands the that bind
are both hands that are mine

343440000 seconds on this earth
Seems like  enough time to figure your life out
But here I am
Still lost

The poet lives two lives.
One on the outside,
And one in their mind.

When you look in their eyes
You could see an abyss.

If you looked long enough
You could sink into it.

But most people don’t see it.

Take the time to read the words, though,
And you would know for sure.

The poet lives in two different worlds.
A little escape from the madness.
Or maybe, into.

her kisses dusted with powdered sugar
even the stars
Fell
at the softest of her silken sighs

Do you feel that pain?
I don't feel the pain.
I took the pain away
made it rain
