i burned the bridge we shared
cried a river
and could not cross it
it flooded
my salty tears dried up the land
nothing could grow
barren land filled with sorrow
the only way across
was the bridge i burned: you

you were my only source for sunshine and smiles
our kisses lit up rainbows over my hazy *** but the cloudy skies came when my eyes rained
I can no longer remember
the swells and curves my fingertips have come to know
i craved your attention & gave all my affection
to be casted off as a lonely little freshman

for the seeds embedded in my mind
grew into withered thoughts of us happily together
the thoughts died when i realized i was just a toy
you toyed with my naïvety and played me for a fool
you fooled me into believing we could be more than just a shared secret
secrets aren't meant to be shared
and neither were you
you, the one i had fallen for
fell on your knees for him
all the sunshine and rainbows blew away
when you blew him to a cloudy liquid on your lips
lips that i had kissed in private and we swore to never tell a soul

now i watch as you & him walk hand in hand
without a care for the young girl who figured out she liked other girls.
I was a freshman when I figured out I was bisexual. The first girl I fell in love with was straight, but she didn't mind leading me on and having naughty sleepovers. She was my best kept secret

I am not afraid of the darkness
but the shadows that hide within it.
I am not afraid of silence,
but the sounds that eventually break it.

I stare at you
As you stare at me
Give me an adventure
And I will give you one too
Let me live
And I will make sure you see
That I am no amateur
Your love is what you must give
My passion is what you will receive
I honestly don't know the meaning so interpret how ever you want ʕ•ﻌ•ʔ

The one who melts you
And sets your aching soul free
Will also **** you
Update (28/02/17): Edited it a bit. Thank you, Jim, for correcting me! :)

Read so many, and always wanted to try, but was often intimidated; today, after about 10 years, I dared to. My first attempt at haiku, how did I fare?

Also, numbering it, since I plan to dare to attempt again.

black can be two things:
nothing
or everything.
black can tell you stories
or stare at you in silence.
black can be the depths of hell
or the limitless universe.
you can get lost in its darkness
or be found in its unparalleled dimensions.

black can be cold and idle
or etch an agonizing fire in your heart.
it can invite you for dinner
or devour you whole.
you can hear your blood rushing in its quiet
or be haunted by the resident banshee.

you can fall in love under the swirls of black ink when your tears touch the wet brush strokes
and you can lose yourself in the intricacy of her black pupils at midnight under the moon.
but you can also look death in the eyes and submit yourself to it
you can feel your heart blackening with the poison of heartbreak and grief.
you can feel the raging sun and the crumbling constellations if you close your eyes hard enough.
thunder jolts through your body like lightning on live wire
intensity builds up leaving  you breathless but begging for more.

black can be the moment you took your first breath
and black can be the moment you take your last.
