I read a poem so passionately
good this morning

It made my heart skip 10 times

This writers message of love
it spoke into me

I had to stop

compose myself

inhale a few breaths

take a minute to breathe

Then I found myself going
back several times to reread

This writers expression of love

It spoke to the love inside of me

Most know me for my words of inspiration

There are a few who knows
my soul spouts love in sonnets

Through the eyes of this writer
I was fed an abundance

Inspired by a poem I read on yesterday.
You were a whispered word
I wished I'd never heard.

I mean a lot to people, but I don't mean a lot to me....

You take me out,
and pull my strings,
and for you, I do a bunch of things,

when you get bored you lock me up,
with the rest of your things, like your old firetruck.
I'm all alone
in this box
my home
and I want to be free
I want someone with me.

I want to be taken out
my happiest time, no doubt,
playing,
laughing at my antics,
it sure beats that box, and all its Lego bricks

take me with you wherever you go
and know
through it all
I'll be there when you fall
because
your my owner
and I'm your doll.

rained-on parade
It's hard to explain
how this heart feels.
Like laughter lost in echo
and your warm touch
now long gone cold.

Anxious, breathless;
something lost I need
so desperately found.

Empty perhaps.
Abandoned like houses,
broken like silence.

These hands can't reach as far
as where you lay.
Somehow I feel like I burn at both ends;
the flames now reaching their meeting place.

But it's always better to burn out
than to fade away.
Conversations.

IF THIS BODY
WEREN'T MINE
WOULD I STILL
HATE IT?
