Like a cigarette, you **** slow.
I pull you tight against my lips.
You fill my lungs with smokes,
Damaging me inside, with each puff.
With the greed to have more,
I keep searching for you.
You are the deadly addiction,
That I need at nights before I sleep.
So blind in my desires, I can't see...
The warning of danger on the cover.

One is the bluebird
whose wings carried my burdens
heavier than mountains

One is the bluebird
who flew across starry skies
and silvery snow

One is the bluebird
whose eyes sincere and solemn
lovingly gazed into mine

Alas, it never cut my guilt
for letting it go to start anew

So, one day maybe
I, again, will hear its voice that chirps and comforts,
and to push me onward... To where I belong ...
that was a hard goodbye...
you grabbed my hand so tight
exactly like the first time
i cried about your cancer

cancer is a bad word
revolving around a cynical industry
& plagued with fear and loss
.. i hate that word

you made that word beautiful somehow
you made that word whimper
with the light from your
nicotine stained smile
you made cancer your *****

you told me not be dismal because
"I"ll be here tomorrow"
you told me not to cry because
"We have things to get done"

i still have things to get done
and so do you
i loathe that you aren't here to do them
for my momma, a beautiful soul.

Seema
She lived with her dark side
Only to believe, that one day
The light would reach her
To show her the right way

Committed with naive sins
She thought of giving up all
Same as everyday
She would let herself fall

Addicted to some new drugs
That filled her lungs with smoke
She coughed and repented
Then she started to choke

Heaven, it is, in the world of smoke
Hell is no where near, to be seen
She was losing herself in the mist
Awaiting death, to cleanse her sin

Failure was her try, to get back on her feet
As she sat there wailing her heart out
Deafness and silence seemed to grasp
But no one responded to her grieving shout

She pledged to bring a change
That would make her feel free again
In the hope that the mist would disappear
And relieve her from her miserable pain...
