A wander, canter, gallop or trot,
Your body becomes one with the horse.
As new movements pulse, pain is forgot;
Nature’s beauty relieves pain from the source.

Silence replaces the busyness of life,
The trees sound out their own tune.
Animals show us how to live,
And their movement illuminates how we can thrive.

Brews and beats,
Dogs, with owners, walking the streets,
As locals taste the treats.
From farmers,
Butchers and bakers,
Tunes float above the crepe eaters.

Tolling hungrily the hollow bell
High in pious belfry hung.

Lofty words as pride dictates
From deep in cavernous dwellings
To keep a doctrine as one
Keeps hope of the future
Locked in a chest --
The ritual of past and present notions.

Receding line at edge of seaboard
Feeding on dry land the watery grave
Filled with borrowed sentiments adrift.
The open sea -- open sores of prejudice

Cut off from inlets of vision and reason.
Preserved as Lenin's body under glass.

We are not yet ready—intellectually, philosophically,
or morally—for the world we are creating. In the next few decades,
old ways of thinking that have served us well for hundreds, even
thousands, of years, will be called into question. New debates, controversies, movements, and ideologies will come to the fore. Some
of our most deeply held assumptions will be revised or abandoned
altogether. Together we will need to re-imagine what it means to
be free or equal, what it means to have power or property, and even
what it means for a political system to be democratic.

We all have
Out unique shape,
Smooth bits and sharp bits
Occasionally
A
Flake

A
Tiny piece of the picture,
With a vague idea
Of what it is,
We look for others
Who are a
Good
Fit

Sometimes we think
"I've found them"
Only to find,
There's a gap
In the
Join

But if you're determined,
The right fit
Is around,
The picture more focused,
Love will be
Sound

Others will notice
And ask,
"How and why?"
Invite them in
Could be a piece
Of
Sky

The picture keeps growing,
With frustrations and knowing,
Don't focus on the
Wrong fits,
Hopefully they will find
The right one

Take the long view,
Collectively you've made,
A picture worth
Admiring,
The light
And
The
Shade

A
Dream,
To keep in mind,
One day we'll all find our way,
A discovered piece of scripture,
And see the
Bigger
Picture

I am not that which sparkles pure and bright,
Nor claim to be a pearl of matchless might.
Yet should the Lord, with mercy’s boundless grace,
Bestow His favour on this fleeting place,
Then shall this drop, though humble in its form,
Join in the vast and ceaseless, raging storm.
The ocean’s depths, with love’s eternal tide,
Shall take this soul and in its ***** hide.

O’ what sweet life to sail in blissful rest,
Where waves of peace shall soothe the heart’s unrest!
And silence reigns within that ocean’s kiss,
Where stars do dance in timeless, endless bliss.
To rest within that deep and sacred flow,
Where time itself doth cease to ebb or go.

What joy, what bliss, to lose the self in Thee,
O’ boundless love, O’ vast eternity!
For in Thy depths, all things their place shall find,
And every wave speaks softly to the mind.

Thus let this drop become no more my own,
But part of Thy eternal, glimmering throne

Let thy cup, O’ bearer, pure and bright,
Be filled with love’s eternal light,
Not once, but ever, from dawn till night,
With the sacred wine that takes its flight.

In its depths, the truth shall glow,
A light that whispers soft and slow,
Overflowing with grace, let it flow,
And in its stream, our hearts shall grow.

Let the cup never know decay,
For in its fullness, peace shall stay,
The wisdom of the ages lay,
In every drop, a brighter day.

From the hand that gives, there’s endless cheer,
No emptiness, no thirst, no fear,
For he who drinks will find it clear—
The cup of love is always near.

This is a sign, a sacred breath,
A call to rise from dust and death.
In the silence of the night you’ll wake,
A soul reborn, no more to break.

From the depths where shadows lay,
You’ll ascend like dawn’s first ray.
No earthly chains can bind you long,
For you are destined to be strong.

With every step, the world shall see
A light unyielding, fierce and free.
Through valleys deep, through mountains high,
You’ll shine, a star within the sky.

O’ heart of mine, in patience trust,
For from the earth, the rose must.
The heavens call, the winds conspire,
To raise you up, and lift you higher.

Through pain and loss, through joy and gain,
Your light will burn, will break the chain.
This is your sign, your sacred fate—
To rise and shine, no end, no date.

In stillness deep, where worldly sounds do cease,
A spark is born, unseen by night or day.
A whisper stirs, within Love's sweet release,
Faint as the dawn, yet in it all doth play.

The secret One, in silence doth proclaim,
Before the light, He calls, yet none may name.
What fire is this, that leaps from dark to bright?
It is the soul’s most earnest longing's might.

In thee, within thy breast, the worlds do rest,
A flame so pure, no mortal hand may test.
In this fair fire, all fates are spun and drawn,
Thou art the spark that maketh stars to dawn.

O’ soul, fear not the smallest flame's embrace,
For in its glow, all things find their place.
It bears with it a truth beyond the sky,
A vision vast, that bids the spirit fly.

Within thy heart, the Beloved’s face doth shine,
In Love’s sweet clasp, all secrets are thine.
Claim now the flame, for in it thou shalt see
The path that binds thee unto eternity.

Safe and sound,
As the night spun around.
Safe and sound,
Tucked in bed, love all around.
Safe and sound,
Your little head in the cloud.
Safe and sound,
You can dream and scream aloud.
Safe and sound,
Turn around, cos the boogie man's only in your mind.
You're safe and sound.
I hear this poem as a song, perhaps a lullaby?
