It's amazing the difference a piece of cloth can make
Could it be that his scarf is really all that it takes
For me to blissfully leave the pain in this world
With the softness of this scarf around my fingers curled.

He gave it once, then I stole it again
I was slightly surprised he didn't complain
Now its absence has left inside me a void
That can only be filled by his scarf and Pink Floyd.

It's kind of amusing that I want to return
Back to that school, if only to yearn
And notice as my pain away can be carved
Just by feeling the softness of his scarf.
This was kind of a spontaneous poem. I wrote it about my crush's scarf. Dur. But seriously, that is one soft scarf....and it smells like him :")

Dear Cheyenne
I love you more than I could ever express
You make me feel like a million bucks,
When I felt like 2 million less
You brought me up from my darkest hour,
Your lips make my mouth taste sweet
When it was once sour
I want to take you to the top
Of the Eifel Tower
And kiss you again
So you feel the power
Of the change you wrought in me

I want to wrap my arms around you
And never ever let go
I don't know what force could've allowed you
To love someone, so broken, so alone,
but you still did

You took the pieces of my shattered heart
And sewed them back together
You're a masterpiece of modern art,
That I can appreciate forever
And you push me to be my best,
In all of my endeavors
My greatest treasure

In ten days, it will have been 9 months
Since you stole my soul away
And kept it in your safe harbor
I know that I'm no charmer,
But,
I hope you think this is cute
And you hang it on your wall
Just like all the others
So I figured, if you had some wall space,
I'd write you another
My dearest Lover. <3

I watched you write me love notes,
Appreciating the way you loop your y's
And the cursive that looks like graphite smoke
On an untouched canvas

The way you hold your hand is elegant,
Every movement fine, performed with grace
And you mutter what you're writing
Just to make sure it sounds perfect.

Sometimes, you scribe little poems outside the margin
Sweetness dripping like honey off tongues,
Enraptured by your words, spellbound
I'll fall into you

You held him 'till your fingers bled
You meant every single word you said

You loved him 'till your heart was sore
But honey, he's not worth it anymore

Let him go

You can have
All of my wishes.
I will bide my time
But I refuse to force myself to want
Something else
Just because I am afraid I will only ever want you.
Right now
You're it
And I am brave enough to embrace that.
You can have every wish my heart aches for.
By giving them to you
At least I've made the choice.
Sweetly
Gently
Tenderly
I wish
For you.

If you love her, remember that on bad days.
If you love her, love her harder when she least deserves it.
When you spend the night out being intoxicated,
remember she is drunk, choking on her tears.
When your eyes lust over another woman's body,
remember that she stripped herself-
3 layers, 300 walls
she was naked for you.
When you light up and carve a smile on your face, talking to a past lover,
remember that she,
she has been kissing those scars on your soul for them to heal,
she has fermented herself in your bones for you to stand,
she did not expect her sacrifices to be sacrificed.
When you are buzzed in your life, when there is hardly any energy left for you to talk to her,
remember that every ******* second she's without you,
it was a hell of a marathon for her.
When you get upset over her mistakes, correct her.
But remember do not correct her when you have wronged.
When you are tired of handling her emotional hurricanes that storms through your routines,
remember that those are just bad days.
Remember that storms pass.
Remember her when she laughs at your jokes that everyone else finds less humorous.
Remember her wide smiles and her glittering eyes when she looks at you.
Remember how she survived your storms.
If you love her, remember that on bad days.

The wonder in your eyes could illuminate all the dying stars in the sky. I've never met anyone who could play music like you do -- you've got a knack for talents I can only dream of having.
I hear a symphony of world-class musicians when you sing, and see the patient sunsets when you smile.
Your hugs make me feel hope inside my heart. Your hands make me feel a kind of happiness that lasts for hours.
I love you, but I have to let you go for now. My dreams are filled with futures of you, but I have to let myself see the possibility of futures without you.
I cannot let myself say the goodbye I know I need to move on from you. You don't have to know that I am letting you go. I'm not going to tell you.

To all the elevators that brought me up when I felt down.
To all the friends that brought me high when I felt low.
To all the smiles that stretched across my face when I was frowning.
To all the chances that fell between the space in my fingers,
when they were in the palm of my hand.
To all the tears that escaped my eyes when I was trying to be strong.
To all the heart breaks I had before I met the one.
To all the friends that brought me up when others brought me down.
To all the laughs that escaped my mouth when I was silent.
To all the nights where sleep wouldn't come.
But it did.
But most importantly to all the love that escaped my heart when I had shut it down.

I know you by heart
Even when you seem a lost page
In a gigantic history text book
I have dog-eared you
Only to return...

Nothing is easy, we know that to be
Look at the distance between you and me
Still I will dream as the sun shines above
*Forever hoping we're always in love

Dearest,
Please close your eyes,
And for a while hold your sighs,
Imagine in twenty years
When our happy lives have reached
The limits of unknown frontiers,
Giving the signal for a new pitch,
Would you let me
Look at your face for an hour?
Would you show me
Your amazing smile forever?
Would you give me space
To prove that my heart melts for you,
You would even listen to its pace,
Before your eyes dive in my ocean blue.
And when our dreams have not died,
When love we can still explore
Will you be by my side,
When I'm sixty four?
Inspired by The Beatles' song "When I'm Sixty Four" and by (less known) Michel Berger's song "Seras-tu là?"

If you were a drug
I'd take you every day

If love was exctasy
I'd always take it

If you were ****
I'd be high all the time

But
I don't need drugs
Your here
Next to me
Loving me
Being the lady of my dreams
