The Mellon
A long ways off a wolf howls into the wood,
But their is no call back.
He howls again, the despair in his call echos back in the crying of song birds

The song they sing is picked up and repeated into the world.
A song so full of pain that people crumple to their knees in soundless agonie.

The wolf howls again,
Challenging the moon as to whome,
Whome is more alone in the universe,

The lonely one who travels the sky,
Or the broken one who has known company but for folly now goes without.

Even the moon grows colder with the grief of the wolf.

The wolf makes its own path around the world.
Where their isn't a trail he creates one,
The ground underneath being crushed with the weight of a heavy heart.

He searches the world,
Echoing his desperate howl across all seven seas.
Hoping someday to find,
Where his beloved does lie.
His howl replaced as a broken cry.

violent things trade off my discord
mistakes from either my gentle heart
or shattered bones

ii

birds take off from the mountain ledges
fragile and fearless
and i compare all my bruises
to falling or flight

i cut my leg on the razor in the shower this morning
blood and water and steam;
good things come to people without feathers sticking from their spine

beth fwoah dream
in your love,
flame-roses,
seas of eternal summer,
the sweetest fires of
the heart.

in your love
clouds like sweeping rivers
dark caves of storm,
gold magics as bright as a lamp.

in your love
a wish to hold me forever
desire so strong
that i submit to your will.

in your love
more love than i can believe
emotions like the wildest seas
crazy desire
poetry that melts.

in your love
the winds of passion
burning
summer breezes
light as a rose,
me fainting
with pleasure.

in your love
a love that will last forever
joys, beautiful in their rose-paper
deaths,
seas so wild the wind blows.

in your love
your heart gold
my heart blue
emotions like dreams
so close the passion melts.

A Wegner
Embrasse-moi lentement

The lavender sweet perfume;
A little too old for you
Though you were always more
Of a summer child
I seized you in a Winters night
Migrating birds,
Together we took flight

You crumble I know
Under a gentle kiss,
Not nips and grips
At such tenderness,
I value you sweet Delilah
With more than primitiveness

.   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .   .

That dusky lavender scent
Still draws me in,
The cuddliness of the years
Still comforts inward tears
And I never let go of you, my girl
That young sweet 16,
Who never knew love

Though all those many years ago
You played me for a security- false
It was true, sincere
I needed you here;
Now that you’re gone,
I feel myself disappear.

Kiss me good-bye until the thunder stops clapping,
until the moon starts glowing, until we all crawl
back to the fireplace, where the logs are burning
and the kids are laughing. Take me to the underground,
to a place I’ve never heard about.
Make me forget how I’ve hurt you.
Ask me questions, even if I can’t give you
all the answers.
Please accept my excuses, even if they’re useless.
Drink coffee with me, beneath the terrace,
as the smokers vape, and the drinkers guzzle.
Tell me what you love about the sunshine
that peeks under the rainclouds.
And tell me to stop,
if I’m talking too much.
Because I can listen to you speak,
on this cassette tape, over and over.
Press play.

Who am I?

I am love
but I am not love.
I wear love’s coat,
like a blanket
and hold its
sweet, sweet smell
a perfume too expensive to touch.
Those who dare,
always pay the price.

You see
I am not as kind as love.
I do not care.
I do not embrace with loving arms.
The heart rules the mind.
I make
your body the master of your heart.
Your soul is tossed aside.
It is no worth to me.

I am a coward.
I flee at the sight
of pain
and do not help.
It is not my job,
after all.
My job is to leave you enshrouded
intrigued torn upon captivated enthralled clouded
in the mystery that you thought
was love.

I am not love.
never will be
never have.

I am the jealous best friend.

The one always trying to steal the limelight.
Who sometimes comes before love.
Steals love.
With grimy hands,
Covered in jeweled gloves.
I do not feel with the heart,
I feel with the body.

Sensual. Aroused. Intimate. And stimulated.

Who am I?

I am lust.
Differentiating between love and lust. I believe that there should be a guidebook for that.

I read because I belive
I write because I hope
And in between the two
When I can
When I have the chance
During the laughter and the tears and the love and the heartache and the pain and the joy and the wonder and the misery
during all of it
every word and every breath and every page and every story and every tale and every poem and every day and every beat of every heart
I try to see that
everything in life
is beautiful
