Poetry First
in the secluded shell
            of night
   crimson lips unseal

 cosmic stillness stirred
   flower ripples tinted
    with touches tender
      on quivering skin

       in moon’s breast
     burns a fire tonight
the primeval fire of passion
              in it melt
   crystals of our emotions
               pristine

            a night-sky
            bliss-soaked
             bejeweled

  stars hanging complicit
Catch me with tenderness
Hold me hold me hold me
Till the moon kissing the blue
O slapping my heart with joy

Curse me o curse me tonight
Cursing my flesh o sweet butterfly
A poetic device calming the heart
Bombardment of roses roses

The majestic inner beauty
Will it rain tonight in the garden
Will laughter visiting the moon
Will the ocean sing a loving song

If I could reach up
And extend my arms

Stretch out my fingers
Squeeze my eyes shut and just touch
The very tip of a star

Stardust would sprinkle into my hair
Twinkling, like morning frost

I would float up
Weightless
A feather headed back to the wing of the bird who left it behind

I would soar above the world
Candy floss clouds caught in my shoelaces

The moon would look on
Watch me wrap myself in a midnight blanket
And gaze back down to earth from the heavens

If I could just touch that star
An entire world of magic would course through my fingertips

But it would be nothing
Nothing
Compared to how I feel when I'm with you

The lot of you
We fall in Love
with you
a thousand times a day
We listen to your songs

Voices,
over and over
Common thread in crystals
cloud bursts of feeling
that you each sharpen
daily
You

daily,
hourly
We butterfly bats
dance,
sing
write!
Yet,
you
Bad Boys Of Poetry
Still
Lie, there in
to your ownselves,
and say
"No one loves me,
I'm alone
Forgotten"
Well,
No.
We each see
as we wish
Pluck your strings!
Sing your songs!
But know,
you're LOVED
A thousand times a day
By black butterflies
and dark diamonds

you were a song i could not stop singing
a song so smooth and gentle
it could soothe the most violent of currents
into a peaceful sleep,
it could calm the rage of a storm
and bring it back to a soft drizzle

you had become my favorite song
the one i could sing when i was nervous,
when i was happy or when i was sad,
and everything else in between

but years of singing had left my voice hoarse
i'd open my mouth
to sing the tune that my heart had come to know so well
and found that nothing could come out,
nothing would come out

i fear the worst,
your song had finally died down
the melody had worn out and,
my voice can carry your tune no longer

but my heart still beats to its rhythm
louder than it ever has before,
my heart remembers every note, every rest
and it will continue to sing
my favorite song,

you
In lonely moments
I stroll the waning memories
when love pure smiled blissfully
deep within a fawning heart

a wistful melody arises untainted
like a steaming enslaved passion
                         breathlessly released
                              unrestrained,..

                                   evident
as the pressed and dried flowers
cuddled between life's ardent petaled pages,
                         bookmarks of the heart

                         traces of the wild bouquets
                         that often soothingly caress’d
                         the energizing tingles
                         inflaming a tantalizing touch

                         the yearning  empty voids
                         feverishly undressed,
                         traced in the hidden sands
                         of unexplored oceans..

                         though time and distance
make the bereft heart grow helplessly fonder,
memories fade softly as the summer breeze befalls,

                         as gentle feather’d touch
                         the evanescent sunset afterglow
where the earth and sky align
                         the dimming of the day

         loving can heal
the poet’s bleeding words,
loving can mend your soul ―

                         the perennial dawning of an
                         unpromised new day
                         will someday come again

bequeathed like the bluebird’s mirthful song
to bring forth nascent wild flowers’ blossoming petals
flourishing in the meadow of my heart
