My Dancing Girl-

Perhaps the Spring
In our Leap

Has stretched but
My Spirit Soars

With your head
Rested

Upon my shoulder

izzmidnight
On misty moons, I wander free,
Escaping life's cacophony,
The world's too loud—a fading sound,
As nature's peace enfolds me round.

All alone, my spirit grows strong,
Visions of a hidden world beyond;
Shadows of the past still linger near,
And now, my soul will find me here.

For in this land, I'm never alone,
Nature's heartbeat echoes my own.
Let me dwell here, where wisdom flows,
With a world of wonder that grows and grows.
This is a Romantic poem inspired by the poet William Wordsworth. I appreciate comments and feedback. :)

~
man on the moon,
woman in orbit,
unrequited science.
nowhere to land,
nothing to feel,
it might as well be Siberia.
luminaries change,
control lingers in the framework.

the heavens revolve
—deasil and artificial.
she has revolutions of her own,
legs that once swam
everyday in his backyard pool,
(that once draped around his coil)
now openly kick free
from his lunar confines.

he starts the countdown
—one one thousand,
two one thousand,
but she's not coming for him.
she's chasing other transmissions,
the bones of what she believes,
hoping something out there
can activate her heart.

A BIG bad woof
Flu D coupe
In his 1970's Gremlin
There was lace and leather and lots of feathers
Stuck to his growl and smile
All of the hens raised
a hell of a den
And cackled , clucked
and wished him luck
Hoping he'd come back again

Darkness, darkness, lonely as the grave
Darkness, darkness, teach me to be brave
As shadows fall across the trees
and inky shade stills stormy seas
Darkness, darkness, teach me to be brave.

Darkness, darkness, lonely as the night
Darkness, darkness, take me from the light
Clothe me in the velvet soft black
and weave me a cloak to take me back
Darkness, darkness take me from the light.

Darkness, darkness, lonely as the moon
Darkness, darkness, sing me a soft tune
Hold my hand and lead me away
hide me from the sun of the day
Darkness, darkness, sing me a soft tune.

Chorus:
Gently, hold me, unto the end.
Darkness, darkness. Approach my friend.
Gently, hold me, unto the end.
Darkness, darkness. Approach my friend.
I am
naked
in my thought

Safe
within my room
nestled and cocooned
I touch no one and no one
touches me

I am poet
Words barred and leveraged
for all soiled souls
who are possessed

For who finds faith
in word
without light
while searching
in the dark

Place complacent
Goal adjacent
Stationary travel

Looking forward
Tracking outward
Soothing inward
Riding grounded

Freshing breathing
Pace increasing
Mind obeying
Ease emerging

Every sneaker orbit
an antidote

Every heavy leg revolution
spreading lulling
warm calm

Every pushing movement
a granted request
for stillness

In the dessert she did grow
like a rose without a thorn
shooting up towards the sun
Sofia's rose is next to none

In the sand a jewel bright
lost inside a sky so blue
aiming for the heaart
she rose, like a speckled rose

Blooming without rain she did
in the font of her sweet-heart
wells of happiness did grow
inside Sofia's heart, airflow !

Nobody dares in old Beijing—
the reeking air hides thunder.
A silent fang in motion strikes,
All consequence asunder.

Thought leans toward a slanted truth;
contention pays the fee.
For somewhere, someone whispers low—
Blank walls report the plea.

Everything is monitored,
each whisper, breath, or tread.
To thread an injudicious thought
could mean you'll end up dead.

Distance offers no relief—
pull not the dragon’s tail.
For agents ride on silken wings
to read your foreign mail.

And yet, the jasmine still unfurls,
the ink still stains the page.
A rebel hides behind a smile—
a poet, disengaged.

Paper lanterns flicker low,
Silent courtyards sing
Red banners herald portends
That dreaded whispers bring.

Distant looms the Emperor
In the dynasty of jade
Where impulse slays the endgame
Of all the endgames, played.
