sun spits rays through the clouds
beaming bright between ashen shroud
dripping white across tepid skies
seeping into the eyes of passerby
crawling, scathing claws of rain
skid along the world again
the water cycle never ends.

i keep buying journals in hopes that i will keep track of my days
but it's so hard when every day is the same
every day is wide awake
nightmares, but open eyes
i live in a fantasy
and i wish i could stop imagining.

*******, *******;
as pigeons unfurl their wings to take flight in a blue, blue sky,
a ricochet of dandelion seeds soar with them,
creating a matrimony of silent parade
that is kissed by the suns rays.

they sleep soundly;
do not wake them.

i didn't know what love was until your
honey voice dripped onto the concrete
spilling sticky words into my head that
stuck and have still not gone away
i try (and try) to get rid of them every day
but like a fly trapped in honey
they stay

as she cries out blindness howls
between her fingers lies neck to glass to wine
cup to lips to swine
pigs in the courtyard
feast on shattered glass and pixie dust
the fairies are here for your teeth
so pluck them out
one by one
soon you’ll be done
stop crying
knock knock
the pigs are at the door
get down on the floor
*****, musty
inhale dust bunnies
choke on rabbits
let your bad habits die
and surely you’ll cry
cup to lips to whine
drink up
tell the pigs
you’re fine.

blue light cascades across your face
luminescent
contorting your features into an angelic portrait of a sultry patron
waning only to let out a wispy breath or two
and when that’s through
you sigh and smile
lie still for a while
undisturbed
