I rearranged the scars on your arms and formed a roadmap
I asked you to take me somewhere
                                                               and you took my finger
and you traced it down their paths
we went for a walk and
                                                                        I went every place
                                                                               met every face
that tried to rip you open
but you sealed yourself back up
and when those scars healed,
then so did you
like the time your mother left you
you left four scars on your left wrist
and later,
three more on the right
or when your father left too
you left nine scars on your leg that night
you placed them carefully in a way
so that they spelled out DAD
don't forget the time she broke your heart
you left 12 scars on both your thighs
one for every month you were with her
(you still stayed six months after that)

there is a pattern of broken hearts
but i won't be another scar.
i erased the lines on the map
                                                          we forgot they ever existed.

If I'm made up of starstuff
Recycle me
Strip me
You're wasting me
Let me be
Nothing
Dust
Put me in the center of the universe
In a vast nothing
Of every beautiful  little thing
That I don't understand
And leave me there
Let me keep my eyes

Red
Red,
Was the color of the blood running through her veins.

Red,
Was the color of her hope painted out on a thin, white canvas.

Red,
Was the color of her eyes the day you walked away.

Red,
Was the color dashed all over Gaza.

Red,
Was the color of her screams magnified as her family was gunned down.

Red,
Was the color of anger when you broke your promises.

Red,
Was the color of her parents heart when she succeeded.

Red,
Was the color that lit her whole universe,
Till the day you walked away.
I can hear the song of the trees
It floats from high above my head
Whispering through the rippling leaves
Being also heard by the birds perched
As they begin to dance from branch to branch
And then the birds also join in the song

Listen to the story of the ancient Oak
You shelter in the branches to hear it told
Of a long time ago when fields grew wild
Of the changing centuries that have passed on by
How the Oak has lived through long forgotten battles
It is a story shrouded in a history of hidden lore

Changing colours as the very leaves start to paint
How many artists have these trees always inspired
The Mountain Ash and the Cedar so royal
The tears unseen from the Weeping Willow
The solitude of the lonesome Pine
Gothic secrets in a cemetry of the Yew

I planted a tree to remember those gone by
Knowing as it grows, so their legend lives again
How they changed my life by their own
So now I hope that their song will be sung
Even when I am gone and long forgotten
And like that very tree, I know they will live on

It's like a best friend but more.
It's the one person in the world that knows you better than you know yourself.
It's someone who makes you a better person.
Actually they don't make you a better person,
You do that yourself because they inspire you.
It's the one person who knew you and accepted you and believed in you
Before anyone did or when no one else would.
A soul mate is someone whom you carry with you forever.
And no matter what happens
You will always love them.
Nothing can ever change that
This was inspired by the season premiere of Rizzoli and Isles. Love that show.
I write to a distant soul,
Someone I may or may not know.
On this day,
I want to tell you
I will wait till the time is right,
Till by Divine Right,
We finally find love at each other's side.
