Sometimes I think about the things I do,
Practice my smile, try to look cool
Yet what is this feeling
It sinks in and sinks in deep
Tearing apart my smile
The moment it sinks

Once you fall in love with
An artist, an empath,
A writer, a musician,
A feeler, a healer,
A giver, a lover,
There is no going back
To an ordinary life.

Pull me
into your tides.
I want to
get lost
in your water,
fight for
my breath,
and wash up
somewhere
far from
where I
was before.

the reluctance
to be

you don’t fit
in this place

no one will
understand you

but you will
understand them

in ways they
don’t understand

themselves

this may not
go so well

so keep your
mouth shut

and write poetry

the past,
a whirlwind of perspectives
coalesce into a tale
some hidden
some warped
some unknown.
humans
so multifacted, akin to history.
i wonder
will i ever know all the sides there are to me?
or shall parts of me too
remain in the dust of what's beyond reach.
an untold, undiscovered self.
Like how history has a dominant perspective to an event i wonder what is my side that most people perceive.
And another fear of my list of many fears is of course the fear of not knowing myself.
