Cold Car

My heart is like a snow laden car
Freezing in the bitter cold

Left to stand in a parking lot semi-alone

Clearing my windows I depart
Most anxiously to feel the need

And yet as in each morning, each winter
When the days are dreary and quick to dark

There is a frost to be found all around

And so my hesitant in heart
Is to turn over and start

Warming only by this, the end of this drive

For my heart is like a snow laden car
Covered and only to be seen in part

When cleared away the beating heart
Is too warm too late and frozen still
Truthfully - This poem began as a thought, "my car is only warm by the end of my drive"

Snow has claimed the tops of the hills
-our small island, white capped cold
where the Artic Hares run wild.
The Sea Eagles returned after long absence,
two years back, and the Hares all camouflaged
white will be hiding in plain sight
but those Eagles are masters of the air
and the Hares though fast across the hills
are no match for the speed of Eagles.

It's almost the end of winter,
The days will soon get longer.
I've always liked the sight of light,
But in this time I've found comfort,
In smoke and heavy clouds that block the sun rays,
The constellation of Auriga and a star called Sirius.

The mood is strangely melancholic,
The breeze is calmly blowing as the sun is setting on another day,
Time goes on,
Constantly running, leaving us behind,
To regret the times when we couldn't,
Because we wouldn't because we shouldn't.

What will it be like a decade from this moment?
As we grow older, we get to know how small we really are,
How amazingly insignificant,
Like a speck of dust in a city of dreams.

As we grow older, we get to know,
Including the doctors and lawyers and leaders of the world,
No one really knows what is going on.

The sun has finally set to let the moon conquer the entire sky,
Interrupting my thoughts on this chilly night,
I wonder if summer will welcome me,
I wonder if I will like the warm summer breeze.

I'm exhausted
Of all the things I see
All the dreams in me
All the kinds of people that I meet
I'm exhausted
Of loving alone
This feeling of missing home
The things I do, they don't give me what I need
I'm exhausted
I'm exhausted
And I just want to sleep
I love sleeping.

The howling of the vicious wolves makes the night more peaceful somehow,
The chirping of the crickets is music to my ears.
All the lights are switched off,
I always liked the room when dim.
The darkness might not be happy and cheerful as the day,
By it calms my soul and frees me to say what I want to say.
From the heaven above,
To the earth below,
When the blue sky says goodbye,
The black sky says hello.

I do not want to be your echo

saying everything in repeat

I want to be your voice

saying the things that should be
voice out the truth...
