Back & forth the waves roll in
Challenging the beach
The foaming surf offers up a dream
That so far is out of reach

I wish I could live among the waves
Like the seal that I've just seen
Without a care for what comes next
Or for what has ever been

To swim among gigantic whales
Majestic in their song
Content with life - to carry on
Knowing they belong

To fly up high above the swell
Like the seagulls do
Playing in the clouds of spray
They all know the truth

Happiness is a gift

That we can not take for granted
In the profoundness of the ocean
Seeds of hope will now be planted

Back & forth the waves roll in
Their cycle never ends
My life continues to evolve
The sea will help me mend

I know every line on your palms
I know every curve & dip of your collar bones
I know every scar, every cut, every bruise
I know the exact shade of color in your eyes
I know the patterns of your movement -- your touch
I painted a beautiful canvas all over your soul

Then one day we broke -- fell and shattered
& now all I can say is I *knew

he was the kind of beautifully terrifying you can't seem to let leave your head after you've met and their every move stains your brain as you replay it over and over. i don't know the last time someone excited me just by being their self so unintentionally - you can only hope you hold that kind of power when you waltz in and out of somones life like that.

Walking barefoot in the park in a dress of cotton and lace. Strolling into the wind so that her perfume is carried towards you. Lips like glistening fruit after the morning dew has come. Skin soft like satin, wanting you to touch it. Hair like a ravens wing, a walk as subtle as a fawn. Carefully she glances towards you enticing you like a forbidden garden of rare earthly delights. Your heart skips a beat and you begin to sweat. Her spell has worked on you. You are enchanted with her and a wicked woman has gotten her way.

Letter to you

There's so much u don't know about me still
Like did u know I wear reading glasses
Or that my parents both had the same last name even before they met
And I have a infatuation with tearing paper, and in my cupboard I have the largest collection of manually shredded paper imaginable
I've never really felt love
Or that once I fell asleep at the back of a bookstore for 4 hours
My mom tells me if she could do it again, she would abort me
And my father isn't even around to tell me what he thinks
But you're around
And I want you to know that I stayed up till 4 staring at the letter you gave me
And I still sleep with the lights on
And I bite my nails when I'm nervous
But I'm not nervous with you
And no, you don't know about the time I sang in the Christmas choir
Or that my favourite time of the day is early in the morning when it's not quite morning, but not quite night
But you could know
*And I would like to tell you
