Who are they** to tell
That in my life
I am not doing well

Who are they to say
That from my path
I went astray

Who are they to judge
The me who has been wronged
But they didn’t care, they didn’t even budge

Who are they to call
Me some names, when they were the ones
Who drove me up against that wall

In this imaginary world where we can escape from reality.

I am the ruler of my own kingdom.

Who ever reads my pieces lives through every story.

You shall take part in my mission to shape this kingdom to rule over this world.

Like every ruler needs, I need someone to be my adviser.

Will you be that someone?

A lot of times that I could not see
How wonderful my life could be
If I just let myself be
A person, that is *simply me

Sky Afire

It started as a tendril snaked
And quickly caught my eye
That beckoned me to come partake
The bright majestic sky

From turquoise into indigo
And all the shades between
With molten lava spreading slow
As far as could be seen

With orange and corals juxtaposed
Against the deeper blues
And silhouetted trees in pose
Amid the great bamboos

The clouds were piled in tumbling flow
And darkened as they fell
To charcoal black, blood red aglow
At meeting with the swell

And as the skyflow met the sea
And seemed to melt within
The sea took on its vibrancy
And flow began again

And as the skyflood reached its peak
Engulfing and aflame
It seemed directly to retreat
As quickly as it came

The ashen grey began above
And slowly spread below
Till all was left in pumice drifts
Within its final glow

And now the show has ended
With the sky once more a sky
And the clouds and sea appended
For a witness such as I

Quite simply, a poem about one of the most gorgeous and amazing sunsets I was privileged to witness.  I have read this in public and this is the first time it appears in print.

you don't understand how long some people have been here
you don't understand the changes we've seen
you don't understand how much we've longed for the people to
be who they be
you don't understand how it breaks our hearts
to see such infighting
bought to our world from other pages
used to back biting
you don't understand, for us
that have believed from the start
that Hello Poetry was once a place
where we always laid our heart
we gave over our life to this place
we endured every change
when you see something different here
know we have suffered more than this strange
once upon a time
in an awesome time and place
when people googled

Poetry
they found this space
they found inspiration
they found laughter that never ends
they found confidantes and a place
to plant
a never ending garden of friends
So if you're from another site
drawn here by the skin of tooth
sit a while in our midnight garden
and I'll speak to you a truth

Hello Poetry has been my best friend
for over 5 years, and all the friends
I've found on here, they've danced beneath my laugh, and held onto me so tight
that if I ever fall so wrong, they'll make
it all right

And that's the saddest thing
about Hello Poetry today...
is that most don't try
to make true friends
really real friends
or interact with them
in any meaningful way
Honestly, in over 5 years I've seen it all, every single change, the arguments, the kisses, the makeups, the losses and the successes... what I really hate to see is the pettiness, the juvenile and puerile ugliness that escapes from another shore, only to find themselves washed upon our beach.... Sorry, we roast such sorry carcasses, then we eat!

26/08/2015 - I am truly stoked to see this as the Daily and humbled but so very proud by the comments and sharing of my heartfelt desire for you all to see HP as I do.... Home. Thank you everyone :)

1.
The past drowned me deep,
Then you came to my rescue,
My valorous knight.

2.
Oh, your touch mended,
All laceration I felt,
You remake me whole.

3.
You walked beside me,
Hold me tightly all the way,
Oh how I feel safe!

4.
You gleam immensely,
This pitch-black path I’m treading,
You lead me the way,

5.
Sweet arms envelop,
Gives me warmth when I feel numb,
Your chest, my console.

6.
Your words, my manual,
That keeps me in the right tract,
Accord assurance.

7.
Your smiles uplift me,
Bring me to jubilation,
My joy provider.

8.
Your laugh enliven,
Move my soul into elation,
You’re all I needed.

9.
Then you give me glimpse,
Of how paradise looks like,
Your eyes sent me there.

10.
Your love lifted me,
Took me to heavenly realms,
With you, I feel free.

11.
We lie in the clouds,
Unleash this passion within,
In this bed so dear.

12.
Me and you alone,
Leaving the world behind us,
And savor our love.

with love <3
