Beautiful

Darby
An observer of the earth.
She sits in the secluded corner of the parlor,
Watching.
Watching the women
In tight corsets and ornate dresses.
Their hair
Large and elaborate.
Their laughs
High and false.
Makeup
Adorning their faces.
They are
Perfect.

She observes herself.
Jeans
Torn.
T-shirt
Too big.
Hair
Messy.
Laugh
Real.

The women
Look like they are in pain.
The girl
Is happy.
The women
Say beauty is pain.
*But I feel beautiful just the same
Hope you like it!
What can I say?
I woke up,
it was Saturday,
seems the weekend's underway
and I am under steam.

I'm shipping out on the noon tide
across the ocean
deep and wide,
dreaming of a sunlit bay,
what can I say?
I woke up,
it was Saturday
The unhealthy obsession,
Demonic possession,
pricked with hot forks to force
a confession.

In the land of the living
the dead wander free
feeding from thoughts
imagining you
and thinking of me.

Pale faces in place of the rosy red cheeks
he who was living now seeks out
the hollows and dips where
death sells the concession to
this
unhealthy obsession.
The day my head exploded was a normal sort of day,
I was walking with my sausage dog
along the sands of Morecambe bay,
when all at once which happened twice, something occurred
which wasn't nice.
The shifting sands with shifting hands clasped me tightly by the legs,my sausage dog thought it a game but the hands reached out and grabbed him just the same.
We both thought that this was the end,
me and sausage,
mans best friend.
Sinking slowly in the sands, the dog and I held by those hands which gripped us ever tighter.
it might have been an act of God or it may have been my sausage dog who saved my life,
just when all seemed lost and done,
my head exploded like a gun and out of it came a length of hope which dog and I fastened to a rope and slowly pulled ourselves quite free from those grasping hands and the greedy sea.
Afterwards,
after a cup of tea and a bonio,( for the dog you know)
we decided not to go
that way on a walk again.

you
saw through me
as if i was transparent
and watched my hollow heart
beat,  attempting to match  your
rhythm but changed pulse ever so
slightly the second i was almost
close enough so i ****** my
skin and  bones  for  being
built of cellophane and
bit my cheeks and
swallowed
blood for
every
time
you didn't
love me when you
should have, i built walls
around my ghostly body just high
enough to keep you out, then watched
you burn them down and dance in the ashes.
she is a blatant caricature in loud technicolor
her presence shouts ****** innuendo
alluring with dark undertones
her past shadows her every word
like clouds passing over a weak sun
she is the road untold but by the few hardiest of souls
her skin tangles his mind
as she watches him in the rearview
runs her hand through her hair repeatedly
he is mesmerized by moist lips parted
around phrases dark and foreboding
the cool calculation of her casual appearance
he is sleepwalking a dangerous dream
he is a dramatic parody in shades of pastel
a sorrowful tale told hesitatingly full of doubts and fears
full of the gentlest of loves
weak and stained he stands in the fell shadows
waiting for her rusty razor blade kisses
she has him
like clouds passing over a weak sun
and he loves her for it

There's only darkness,
Not even a sliver of light,
Even the crack of dawn only brings black,
There is no hope,
No hope of ever going back,
Because once you go black, you never return from the other end of the spectrum.

Two sides,
Two opposing forces,
One winner.
Millions of deaths,
Billions of wars.
One winner.

The winner?
The one that consumes you.

My winner?
The Darkness.

I used to toss and turn in your arms, but now it's just a body lying lonely between barely warm sheets.

A heartbeat before,
now it is just the clock *ticking.
Hey hey hey lovely reader!
How are you today?
