It is the mystical evening
when Christmas is rejoiced
carols too are voiced

all to celebrate a man
who lived so long ago
yet only recent in our history

we do not know
his date of birth
but like to think it's now

when winter's s dark
turns into light
and lights up all the snow

this magic story still inspires
and makes all children
feel it's glow

cheers the spirits in the dim
satisfies
our every whim

life's a dream
or so it seems
yet we are in control

To
the poets
among us
I
do
bequeath for
us
the lines
that
bring
us
elegant
truth.
It has been said we can bequeath not only property but values as well.

in Ohio state, that place by the lake
I miss those waves and that sandy grate
my dreams are laced with memories made
waiting for a walleye to take my bait

on Edson street, down at the creek
I leaped in just to wet my feet
where steelhead and salmon meet
it's still a dream my memory keeps

Main street beach, out on the pier
we drank in life and drank down beer
we swam to the breakwall without fear
those memories, i still hold dear
I am from the wall,
from the generation of iPhones and makeup.
I am from the tight spaces.

I am from the mountains,
the cold clear skies.

I am from the long hikes
and green eyes, from the Herriot’s
and the Denno’s.

I am from the morning pancakes
and the late night board games.
From follow your dreams
and there are no monsters under the bed.

I am from the heavens.
I’m from New Hampshire and Vermont,
PB&J's and Mac and cheese.

From the parents’ divorce,
the Christmas mornings filled with eggnog,
and the birthday’s of grandma and grandpa.

I am from
home.
Created by perfection,
Not from without but with great intention,
Physically,you're flawless.
From your toes to your face,
Upto the longest strand of your hair,
Believing this may be a great dare,
But its true,
Its true that the flaws flow from within you,
Not your body, physique or biological make up but the mind,
And to this notion;most of us are blind.
Accepting and loving yourself the way you are,
Makes you shine flawlessly like a star.
Flawlessness isn't in having no scars,or blemishes or birthmarks or whatever, its in accepting all those things and embracing them,if you'd like to change;do that but atleast accept them and embrace them(part of life).
By the way,I'm speaking of physical flawlessness..my own views,I really don't know about those of "society"(whoever makes up society "rules"/whoever "society" is) .
This is for all:men,women,girls,boys.
Thanks for reading!!!!! :) :*

Scared ?
Of the dark and the
demons of the night.
Burnt ?
From the flames
licking my bedroom
walls and skin.
Voices ?
Couldn't stop them
from haunting me.
Insane ?
The pain drove me
to that.
Afraid ?
Of being alone in this
never ending war.
Love ?
It pulled me by the
hand to the light.
Kisses ?
They put out the fire
that left me burnt and
bruised.
Poetry ?
It rolled down my arms
and thighs the minute
your eyes locked on
mine* ~

Hope is dashed
And interest lost
I've waved for a ship
that doesn't recognize my raft
most any day.
I am worthy of a rudder, commanded,
intention steered to find me,
moving into port
as though my little light were a beacon.
But still the ship moves past
until a cannon shot
leaves need for rescue;
And then my raft
she sinks with the weight.
I can't sail forward thus.
Waiting to be more.  Have you ever waited?
