i was looking at the sky for a while
basking in star light
talking to the moon
i almost forgot it was still night

but the clouds served as a cruel reminder
that i never left the darkness
rather, it never left me
and the sun was never coming up
as far as i can see

the sun is never coming up

12.03.20
i don't remember what the sun looks like. what it feels like.

Still water
resting
at the
bottom
of a
Pacific ocean
tide
pool,

reflections
of you
in my
mind
in the
Sunday
morning
light.

sometimes
I can imagine
I hear you
laughter
carried in
harmony
to me
on a
a salt-kissed
circling
wind.

and I
sit for
a moment
and smile.

I always
smile.

it is
a giving
thing that
you do.

your gentle
manner
of truth
and innocence.

I can always
feel it
there in
you eyes...

you are

where
good  poets
go to
die.

if they say a one-word poem,
i'll write your name...
empty,
everything is empty,
one misstep
and you're dead

isolation and
fear
fills the room,
it's cold a dark,
deathly stares
are all that i receive,
the world has become
primitive,
the weak are
left for dead,
the strong
survive,
but the fearful
are the most cruel.
everything is so busy now; college admissions, the coronavirus, everything. sorry for the lack of content

We've come to tell you
We've fallen in love
She's going away with me
We respect you too much
To leave you hanging
You've done so much
But this is farewell
We've fallen in love.

What could I say?
"Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
You've saved my life
Goodbye
Goodbye
I'll see you again sometime
perhaps
Somewhere down the road."
Our backs hold stories
Not even the spine
On a book can handle
Bury me in the roses
Crimson as the color of blood
running through our veins.

Come to me in dreams, my love
Come with your beaming eyes and vengeful self.

Come to me in dreams and seal with a righteous kiss our meeting;
Releasing me from my agony

Bury me with your most kind caresses
And still lingering fears

—You don’t have to say you’re mine, you just have to say I’m free —

Bury me in roses
and forget me

                               no more.

...
I snuck out of bed,
grabbed some glass pebbles,
a jar, and scissors.

And cut the crown
off my panda-plant

A little clipping
sits on my desk
waiting for water
and happiness
...
I love small things. Especially small plants. 🌱

On Sunday, I scoured
the skin from my
dining room table.

I smeared a sunset
to cover the scars

and in the fading light,
slanted by my living room
shades, it smiled at me
through a gap-toothed grin.
