If I could turn back time
I would hit Backspace all day,
Id put on Caps Lock
and SHOUT what I say.

I'd use the whole Alphabet
To tell you hello,
Press seven Numbers
Til you picked up the phone.

I'd Tab through the comments
I didn't want to hear,
And use the Arrow Keys
To drag your body near.

I would Delete the harsh words
I didn't mean to speak,
And Insert the "I love yous"
I before couldn't leak.

I would use Ctrl to
Keep reigns over my heart,
And I would Escape lies
That tore us apart.

I'd Print out your photo
And kiss it goodnight,
Use the Calculator
To check that we were right.

I'd Paint you a picture
of us, you and me,
Then I'd hit Enter
Just so you would see.

Those are the things
I would do in my strife,
If only Backspace
worked in real life.
This is the first poem (that I have a copy of) i wrote that I actually thought was good. I was in seventh grade, twelve years old, and I wrote it for a newspaper competition. I knew it was really great but I didn't think I would beat all other applicants in the state in my age group. So you can imagine my surprise I'm sure when I DID win! That is the first time I was proud of my writing. So this one has a lot of special sentimental value. Thanks for reading.

How often it’s said,
“Don’t hold grudges, life’s too short”

The same sentiment will apply then why waste our time on those not worthy!

Far more Important I’d say don’t waste these mere moments we share on earth on people who have no purpose other than to use and add no value to ours!

Our traits are sincerity, love and loyalty!
Be bold as you can boast them as who you are! for they be noble qualities!
Yes you can be proud of who You are!

Hence don’t sell yourself short because people you thought to be friends, don’t hold that same moral compass!

No send them packing!
No shame in saying “ they not cut of the same cloth”
No quite the contrary be proud,
core values can’t be bought!
It’s who we are thanks to our parents ethics!

Hold that banner high!!
Never waiver!
Remember who you are !
Yes you have that option you can choose to be you!
Your best chance success’s in anything yeah!

He said it might not work,
I hoped it would.
He said it will take time,
I hoped that in time, I would heal.
He said it might only just ease my pain,
I hoped, it would be enough to let me survive.
He said I might feel weaker than ever,
I only just hoped it would be enough to make me want to live another day.
I hoped.
Hope, it was the greatest side effect of the pills.
There are lots of things about medication for mental illnesses that the doctors conveniently forget to mention.

It will find you
Somehow the loudest, alone in bed
Summoning all those voices in your head
Thinking isn’t bad
Overthinking, though, is deadly
Open the window and stare at the stars
Wonder if they can feel this all the way on Mars
Has it found anyone else
This burning, bright violence
Silence.

When Life hands you a lemon sour,
You're feeling down, demeanour dour,
The day ahead seems dull and grey,
Resolve to be upbeat. Find a way
To think pleasant thoughts. Life is short
And negative thinking? It achieves naught!
Resolve to give yourself a treat,
Ponder on things pleasantly sweet:
Soon the sun will disperse the cloud
The day will brighten: sing aloud.
Crack a joke: take time to smile,
See the blues depart in a while.
Abandon your feelings of woe,
Return to living. Here's how you go:
Take the lemon, though sour it is
Squeeze hard, add sugar and fizz,
Brew yourself a tonic or elixir,
Then drink deep! It's a real Life fixer!

If
If I gave you my smile
Would you give me yours
Run your finger along it
Touch your forehead to mine

If I gave you my hands
Would you give me yours
Hold them gently
Our fingers entwined

If I gave you my body
Would you give me yours
Wrap yourself around me
Till we can no longer be defined

If I gave you my heart
Would you give me yours
Love me with a passion
Of our own design

If I gave you my soul
Would you give me yours
Merge the light and dark of them
So we can't be confined

If I gave you my demons
Would you give me yours
Let them play together
In our strange minds

These are the Ifs that I ask of you...
I only hope you will answer me true.
