You are the song stuck in my head.
An unchanging tune where my heart is led.
you are the first break of day.
The light that shines through my sky claiming it's place.
You are the moon that controls my ever moving tides.
I love you like rain kissing roses collide.
I am slowly fading into you,
Becoming lost in your soul.
Becoming lost in YOU.
I no longer see where you stop and I began.
Everyone says I am a mad man,
But being with you is climbing a mountain that seems like a hill.
I am apart of you still.
Breathing the intoxicating succulent nectar.
You alone are my devoted protector.

I’ll see you in the future.

I’m going to say, “I miss you.”

You’ll tell me words are hollow. “If you really miss me, show me.”
You’ll say, “I have two kids now. Doesn’t that bother you?”

I’ll admit, “I know. It’s okay.”

You’ll be entirely made up of mechanical gears and electrical circuits, with light emanating through the cracks in your skin.
I shouldn’t mind. It will be me who makes you this way, after all.

As we push further into the future, you’ll be less impressed with every hour that goes by. That’s how she was. So that’s how you’ll be.
Maybe I’ll be sad to see it, but I’ll be happy knowing that even if my perfectly imperfect creation decides to leave, like she did, you won’t get so far before you’re completely drained.

And only I will hold the key to restart your heart.

Just as she has held the key to mine, all this time.
I was so afraid to love you.

his love was so harsh every touch left a bruise,
each kiss was an exchange of blood and broken promises,
he made my
mind
a
maze,
tangling all the wires of my brain until he was the only face left in it.

I convinced myself I could not live without the animalistic approval in his eyes when he looked at my body and I learnt not to flinch when the brutality in his voice knocked me down into disregarded sobs.

his love was so harsh every touch left a bruise, but now
I am anew.

I'm not looking for someone to complete me.
When they go away, which they will go away,
I'll still be missing that piece, still be incomplete.

I'm not looking to make someone my everything,
When they're gone, which they will be gone,
I'll end up empty, I'll have nothing.

I'm just looking to love and be loved
And hope that it lasts,
Because something's gotta last

Raindrops fell from the sky.
I tried to look away,
But my eyes I could not pry.
Staring down the clouds.
I watch a hand reach out.
Fear had struck me.
I stood still in my place.
Disbelief clearly on my face.
Not a single soul was around to see.
I tried to speak out.
But the God's ignored me.
For I am one being,
And a god is many.
Gold raindrops covered the streets.
I heard a loud cry.
That's when I realized.
These were not raindrops but tears.
They continued to fall from the sky.
A voice boomed with a defying sigh.
I couldn't imagine a god cry.
This was something out of the ordinary.
You never realize what burdens they carry.
Out of sight out of mind.
You never see how they portray mankind.
For this is the sniffles of the gods.
Defined against all odds.

She was like music,
and I longed to dance.

Her heart was the beat,
and I begged for the chance.

Her words were the vocals,
and I was put in a trance.

Her smile was the melody,
and I fell in love at first glance.
