There was once a raid
On a little Kansas town
All the raiders were killed
All except just one
He lived to tell their story
And to explain the reason why
"We was seeking glory,
We didn't mean to die"

I'm an old west history buff ,so my wife and I went to visit Coffeyville Kansas this past summer to see where the Dalton Gang was wiped out while trying to rob two banks at one time.
Just so they could make themselves more famous than the James Younger Gang.I guess they should have stayed at home that day.

I was told as a child
There are no places left to explore
They've all been discovered before

Well there's outer space
The ocean
And the human mind

Probably enough in those places
We've never seen before
A random comment I made to a friend I took almost verbatim and made a poem with
Armed to the teeth, he was every bit a soldier, fighting fit,
Had even an excessive zeal, for conquest bordering to
obsessive compulsive neurosis.he never could relax.
But the moment she was sighted,as an apparition,in his radar,
it was a  near a melt down; how quickly did he transform!
"Yes"  his command center, flashed a message, "See the target"
This was a surprise! contrary to what he thought his nature was
he stands now  stripped naked to the core, ready in true love mode
Love creates chinks even in the thickest of armour
Six hundred, fifty-eight kilometers,
or four hundred and eight miles;
both represent the distance,
that separates our smiles.

One thousand, four hundred,
and forty minutes in a day;
all spent thinking about how,
you are so far away.

Each beam of sunshine,
feels like a hug from you.
Each star that twinkles.
is for my dreams come true.

I will smile at the sun,
wishing you were here.
I will look upon the stars,
holding back the tears.

I promise to be strong;
always there for you.
Holding on tightly,
we will see this through.

There will be a day,
to never say goodbye.
We will forever be,
by each others' side.
To rest with you each night, and wake up with you each morning, would be absolute bliss, my only simple wish.

The ethereal transactions of two pairs of eyes,
has happened at the speed of lightening.
A decision was struck in a moment, at a secret space
for communion,  far beyond the conscious mind,
with the precision of a chemical reaction orchestrated,
where past, present and the unknown, miraculously converged.

A deal is done effortlessly; the desired finish of a chain reaction.
Nucleic acid double helix strummed tunes, for the composition,
the commerce two bodies have transacted for nature, has echoes
beyond the scope of mathematical equations to explain the event,
it zooms to the beyond, in to the secret accounts of cosmos eternal,
where the matter assumes the blissful form of "pure consciousness".
"Whatever you do would echo in eternity"
Imagine what love is capable of doing
No you can't stay
Get the **** out
I called you to come over for a quick session
And now I'm done, so your time is out.

What do you mean you're feeling tired?
You have to go, you need to leave
Yes I'm serious, get the **** out
You've done all you can for me.

I don't want your company,
I don't want to cuddle
Thanks for being my midnight squeeze
You can leave your number on the table.

I doubt I'll call
Don't ask me personal questions
Don't walk away feeling more than
The bare essential intentions.

I told you what this was in the beginning
I have no room for your feelings
I don't know that you expected from this
But it really did have NO meaning
Is this real life....? Did this really just happen....?
She fell.
    And she fell.
            And she fell

And each time she fell, it became harder and harder to stand back up.
But somehow she did. Each time.

And then one day she was carried.

She was lifted off the ground and was no longer in pain.
She was no longer worried about healing.
She saw new lights and could touch the clouds.
She felt love growing and it did not burn.

It was not jealous or boastful.
It was not envious or overbearing.
It was pure.
It was modest.
It was better than a gift because it was a seed. She had to make it something special and it was not instant gratification.
And she didn't realize this at first. But she has realized it now since the last time she fell and that is all that matters now.
And with the first showers
Comes the kind of sadness
Which only half loved lovers
Can feel.
