Under loved
Underfed
Under paid
Under wanted

But hey life's good

Gold at the end of the rainbow
Smoke flowing out of the fire
Rain falling from dark clouds
Washing away what's left of desire
True Red, bleeding out blood
True Blue, tears soaked through
Truly Purple, royal people,
Brains and thoughts all their own
Yet becoming more the unknown
Less in life, more in death
Gotta die,
Before someone hears your breath.
Words mean nothing
If their still here to write more
When they're gone

A poem a day may not keep the doctor away, but it may keep the Psychiatrist at bay
Writing is very therapeutic and so is reading poems at least for me!

Ahhh...

Let us go,
together,
you and I

down into
the rabbit hole.

Let me be...
your filling dessert,
your wicked garden.

Pluck the thorny rose
and warm the frigid
tundra,
with the warmth of
your honey wine.

Become...
my silvery
dark prince
in that vase
field of gold.

As your lips,
the heat of your
breath,
the timber of your
whispered sweet
nothings,
your skillful hands,
and the story in
your eyes...
send chills of ecstasy
down my spine

and impassioned fumes
besiege my mind.

Let me..
get under your skin,

Let me...
****** you..
from within.

Take my hand,
follow me

together we'll be
free.

You and I,
together as one
shall go...

down, into
the rabbit hole.

Collily
I'm enslaved by these words,
in the cages of these pages.
My thoughts are shackled
by unforgiving metaphors
and vile rhapsodies

As I wait for Liberty to
contemplate my fate,
for freedom to scream my name,
for my skin to shed this layer
of shame.

While Time takes its time, the pages slowly turn,
the ink dries,
the chains rust
and I emerge
out of this metal cocoon,

armed with chisiled mementos
of yesterday's glistening
defeat.
I'm well on my way
to becoming a Wordsmith.
